1 Likewise, all of you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, (logos) they also may without the word (logos) be won by the conversation of the wives;

၁ထိုနည်းတူစွာဇနီးတို့၊ သင်တို့ခင်ပွန်းများ ၏အုပ်စိုးခြင်းကိုဝန်ခံကြလော့။ ဤနည်းအား ဖြင့်သင်တို့တွင်ဘုရားသခင်၏နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် ကိုမယုံကြည်သူခင်ပွန်းများရှိပါမူ သင်တို့ ၏အကျင့်အကြံအပြုအမူကသူတို့အား ယုံကြည်လာစေလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့နှုတ်ဖြင့်ပြော ရန်ပင်မလိုပေ။-

2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with (rhema) fear.

၂အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်သင်တို့အဘယ်မျှ စိတ်ထားဖြူစင်သည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ ဘုရား တရားရိုသေကိုင်းရှိုင်းသည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း သူတို့တွေ့မြင်မည်ဖြစ်သောကြောင့်တည်း။-

3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

၃သင်တို့၏ရုပ်ရည်လှပမှုသည်အပြင်အပ လက္ခဏာများဖြစ်သောဖီးလိမ်းဝတ်စားမှု၊ ကျောက်မျက်ရတနာဆင်ယင်မှုတို့အပေါ် တွင်မတည်စေဘဲ၊-

4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, (pneuma) which is in the sight of God of great price.

၄မိမိတို့အတွင်းစိတ်နှလုံးနှင့်ဆိုင်သော နူးညံ့သိမ်မွေ့သည့်သဘောတည်းဟူသော ထာဝစဉ်လှပမှုပေါ်တွင်တည်စေကြလော့။ ယင်းလှပမှုသည်ဘုရားသခင်ရှေ့တော် မှောက်၌၊ အလွန်အဖိုးထိုက်ပေသည်။-

5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

၅ရှေးအခါကဘုရားတရားကြည်ညို၍ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုမျှော်လင့်ကိုးစားသော အမျိုးသမီးတို့သည် မိမိတို့ခင်ပွန်းများ ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်ခြင်းအားဖြင့်လှပ အောင်တန်ဆာဆင်ကြ၏။-

6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters all of you are, as long as all of you do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

၆ဥပမာပြောရသော်စာရာသည်အာဗြဟံ ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်၏။ အာဗြဟံကိုသခင် ဟုခေါ်၏။ သင်တို့သည်မည်သည်ကိုမျှကြောက်ရွံ့ ခြင်းမရှိဘဲ ကောင်းမြတ်သည့်အကျင့်ကိုပြု ကျင့်ပါလျှင်စာရာ၏သမီးများဖြစ်ကြ၏။

7 Likewise, all of you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

၇ထိုနည်းတူစွာခင်ပွန်းတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့ ဇနီးများအားနွဲ့သူများဖြစ်သည်ကိုထောက်၍ သူတို့နှင့်ပေါင်းသင်းနေထိုင်ရကြမည်။ သူတို့ သည်သက်ဆိုင်ရာဆုကျေးဇူးကိုသင်တို့နှင့် အတူခံစားရကြမည့်သူများဖြစ်သဖြင့် သင်တို့သည်သူတို့ကိုလေးစားစွာဆက်ဆံ ရကြမည်။ သို့မှသာသင်တို့၏ပတ္ထနာများ ကိုအဆီးအတားရှိမည်မဟုတ်။

8 Finally, be all of you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

၈နောက်ဆုံးဖော်ပြလိုသည်မှာ သင်တို့သည် တစ်စိတ်တစ်ဝမ်းတည်းရှိကြလော့။ စာနာ ထောက်ထား၍တစ်ယောက်ကိုတစ်ယောက် ညီ ရင်းအစ်ကိုကဲ့သို့ချစ်ကြလော့။ ကြင်နာ သနားတတ်သောသဘော၊ နှိမ့်ချတတ်သော သဘောရှိကြလော့။-

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that all of you are thereunto called, that all of you should inherit a blessing.

၉အဆိုးကိုအဆိုးအားဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ ကျိန် ဆဲခြင်းကိုကျိန်ဆဲခြင်းအားဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း တုံ့ပြန်ခြင်းမပြုကြနှင့်။ ယင်းသို့ပြုမည့် အစားကောင်းချီးပေးကြလော့။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဆိုသော် ဘုရားသခင်ကတိထားတော်မူသည့် ကောင်းချီးမင်္ဂလာကိုခံစားစေရန် သင်တို့ အားကိုယ်တော်ခေါ်ယူရွေးကောက်တော်မူခဲ့ သောကြောင့်တည်း။-

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

၁၀အောက်ပါကျမ်းစာတော်အရဖော်ပြသည် နှင့်အညီဖြစ်သည်။ ``မိမိဘဝကိုချစ်မြတ်နိုး၍စီးပွားချမ်း သာကို အလိုရှိသူသည်၊ မိမိ၏လျှာကိုမညစ်ညမ်းစေရန်ထိန်းသိမ်း ရမည်။ မိမိနှုတ်ကိုလည်းလိမ်လည်လှည့်ဖြားမှုနှင့် ကင်းစေရမည်။

11 Let him shun evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.

၁၁သူသည်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုရှောင်ရှားလျက် သုစရိုက်ကိုပြုရမည်။ ငြိမ်းချမ်းမှုအတွက်အစွမ်းကုန်ကြိုးပမ်း ရမည်။

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

၁၂အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဖြောင့်မတ်သူတို့အား၊ကြည့်ရှုစောင့်ရှောက်တော်မူ၍ သူတို့၏ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာများကို၊ နားညောင်းတော်မူသောကြောင့်တည်း။ သို့ရာတွင်ဒုစရိုက်ပြုသူတို့ထံမှ မျက်နှာလွှဲတော်မူ၏။''

13 And who is he that will harm you, if all of you be followers of that which is good?

၁၃သို့ဖြစ်၍သုစရိုက်တရားကိုသင်တို့ခုံမင် စွဲလမ်းကြပါမူအဘယ်သူသည်သင်တို့အား ဘေးသင့်စေနိုင်မည်နည်း။-

14 But and if all of you suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are all of you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

၁၄သို့ရာတွင်အကယ်၍သင်တို့သည်အမှန်တရား ကိုကျင့်သုံးမှုကြောင့်ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခံရသော်မင်္ဂ လာရှိကြ၏။ မည်သူအားမျှမကြောက်ကြနှင့်။ မစိုးရိမ်ကြနှင့်။-

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason (logos) of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

၁၅သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့စိတ်နှလုံးတွင်ခရစ်တော် ကိုရိုသေကိုင်းရှိုင်း၍အရှင်သခင်အဖြစ်ဖြင့် ခံယူကြလော့။ သင်တို့ခံယူရရှိသည့်မျှော် လင့်ချက်အကြောင်းကိုစစ်ဆေးမေးမြန်းလာ သူအားအချိန်မရွေးရှင်းလင်းဖော်ပြရန် အသင့်ရှိကြလော့။-

16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

၁၆သို့ရာတွင်သိမ်မွေ့ရိုသေစွာဖြေကြားကြလော့။ သင်တို့အားမတရားဝေဖန်၍စော်ကားပြောဆို သူတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်၏တပည့်များအနေဖြင့် သင်တို့ပြုမူပုံကောင်းမွန်သင့်မြတ်သည်ကိုမြင် ၍အရှက်ရကြစေရန် သင်တို့၏သြတ္တပ္ပစိတ် ကိုကြည်လင်စေကြလော့။-

17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that all of you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

၁၇သုစရိုက်ကိုပြုသဖြင့်ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခရောက်ခြင်း သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏အလိုတော်အရဖြစ်လျှင် ယင်းသည်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုပြုခြင်းထက်ပို၍ ကောင်း၏။-

18 For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (pneuma)

၁၈အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ခရစ်တော်ကိုယ်တိုင် ပင်လျှင် ငါတို့၏အပြစ်များအတွက်အပြီး အပိုင်အသေခံတော်မူခဲ့သောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်သူတော်စင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၍မသူ တော်တို့အတွက်အသေခံတော်မူလေပြီ။ ယင်း သို့ပြုတော်မူခြင်းမှာသင်တို့အားဘုရား သခင်ထံတော်သို့ပို့ဆောင်ပေးရန်ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာအားဖြင့်အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရသော်လည်းဝိညာဉ်အား ဖြင့်အသက်ပြန်၍ရှင်တော်မူ၏။-

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits (pneuma) in prison;

၁၉ဝိညာဉ်အားဖြင့်ကိုယ်တော်သည်အကျဉ်းကျ လျက်နေသောဝိညာဉ်များထံသို့သွားရောက် ၍တရားဟောတော်မူ၏။-

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

၂၀ထိုဝိညာဉ်တို့ကားသင်္ဘောကိုနောဧတည်ဆောက် လျက်နေစဉ်တွင် သည်းခံစောင့်ဆိုင်းလျက်နေတော် မူသောဘုရားသခင်၏စကားကိုနားမထောင် ခဲ့သူတို့၏ဝိညာဉ်များပင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။ သို့ ရာတွင်ရေအားဖြင့်ကယ်ဆယ်ခြင်းခံရသူ များမှာသင်္ဘောပေါ်တွင်အနည်းငယ်သာရှိ ၍အရေအတွက်အားဖြင့်ရှစ်ယောက်မျှသာ ဖြစ်၏။-

21 The like figure unto which even baptism does also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, ) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

၂၁ဤတွင်ရေဟုဆိုရာ၌သင်တို့ကိုယခုကယ် တင်သောဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာကိုပုံဆောင်ပေသည်။ ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာခံယူခြင်းသည်ကိုယ်ကာယ အညစ်အကြေးများကိုသန့်စင်ဆေးကြော ခြင်းမဟုတ်။ သြတ္တပ္ပစိတ်ကြည်လင်စွာဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏ရှေ့တော်၌ကတိသစ္စာပြု ခြင်းဖြစ်ပေသည်။ သေခြင်းမှသခင်ယေရှု ခရစ်ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်တော်မူခြင်းကို အကြောင်းပြု၍ သင်တို့သည်ဗတ္တိဇံအား ဖြင့်ကယ်တင်ခြင်းကိုခံရကြ၏။-

22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

၂၂ထိုသခင်သည်ကောင်းကင်ဘုံသို့ဝင်တော်မူ ၍ ယခုအခါဘုရားသခင်လက်ယာတော် ဘက်တွင်ရှိတော်မူပြီးလျှင်ကောင်းကင်တမန် များ၊ ကောင်းကင်အာဏာပိုင်များနှင့်တန်ခိုး ရှင်များကိုအုပ်စိုး၍နေတော်မူ၏။
