1 John 2
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that all of you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Hijitos míos, esto os escribo para que no cometáis pecado. Mas si alguno hubiere pecado, abogado tenemos ante el Padre: a Jesucristo el Justo.
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Él mismo es la propiciación por nuestros pecados, y no solo por los nuestros, sino también por los de todo el mundo.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
Y en esto sabemos si le conocemos: si guardamos sus mandamientos.
4 He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Quien dice que le ha conocido y no guarda sus mandamientos, es un mentiroso, y la verdad no está en él;
5 But whoso keeps his word, (logos) in him verily is the love (agape) of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
mas quienquiera guarda su palabra, verdaderamente el amor de Dios es en él perfecto. En esto conocemos que estamos en Él.
6 He that says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Quien dice que permanece en Él debe andar de la misma manera que Él anduvo.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which all of you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word (logos) which all of you have heard from the beginning.
Amados, no os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, sino un mandamiento antiguo que teníais desde el principio. Este mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.
Por otra parte lo que os escribo es también un mandamiento nuevo, que se ha verificado en Él mismo y en vosotros; porque las tinieblas van pasando, y ya luce la luz verdadera.
9 He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now.
Quien dice que está en la luz, y odia a su hermano, sigue hasta ahora en tinieblas,
10 He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
El que ama a su hermano, permanece en la luz, y no hay en él tropiezo.
11 But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes.
Pero el que odia a su hermano, está en las tinieblas, y camina en tinieblas, y no sabe adónde va, por cuanto las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
Os escribo, hijitos, que vuestros, pecados os han sido perdonados por su nombre.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because all of you have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because all of you have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because all of you have known the Father.
A vosotros, padres, os escribo que habéis conocido a Aquel que es desde el principio. A vosotros, jóvenes, os escribo que habéis vencido al maligno.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because all of you have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because all of you are strong, and the word (logos) of God abides in you, and all of you have overcome the wicked one.
A vosotros, niños, os escribo que habéis conocido al Padre. A vosotros, padres, os escribo que habéis conocido a Aquel que es desde el principio. A vosotros, jóvenes, os escribo que, morando en vosotros la Palabra de Dios, sois fuertes y habéis vencido al Maligno.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love (agape) of the Father is not in him.
No améis al mundo ni las cosas que hay en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, la concupiscencia de la carne, la concupiscencia de los ojos y la soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre sino del mundo.
17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for ever. (aiōn g165)
Y el mundo, con su concupiscencia, pasa, mas el que hace la voluntad de Dios permanece para siempre. (aiōn g165)
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as all of you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Hijitos, es hora final y, según habéis oído que viene el Anticristo, así ahora muchos se han hecho anticristos, por donde conocemos que es la última hora.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
De entre nosotros han salido, mas no eran de los nuestros, pues si de los nuestros fueran, habrían permanecido con nosotros. Pero es para que se vea claro que no todos son de los nuestros.
20 But all of you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know all things.
Mas vosotros tenéis la unción del Santo y sabéis todo.
21 I have not written unto you because all of you know not the truth, but because all of you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
No os escribo porque ignoréis la verdad, sino porque la conocéis y porque de la verdad no procede ninguna mentira.
22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
¿Quién es el mentiroso sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? Ese es el Anticristo que niega al Padre y al Hijo.
23 Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father: he that acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Quienquiera niega al Hijo tampoco tiene al Padre; quien confiesa al Hijo tiene también al Padre.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which all of you have heard from the beginning. If that which all of you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, all of you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Lo que habéis oído desde el principio permanezca en vosotros. Si en vosotros permanece lo que oísteis desde el principio, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo y en el Padre.
Y esta es la promesa que Él nos ha hecho: la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
Esto os escribo respecto de los que quieren extraviaros.
27 But the anointing which all of you have received of him abides in you, and all of you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, all of you shall abide in him.
En vosotros, empero, permanece la unción que de Él habéis recibido, y no tenéis necesidad de que nadie os enseñe. Mas como su unción os enseña todo, y es verdad y no mentira, permaneced en Él, como ella os ha instruido.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Ahora, pues, hijitos, permaneced en Él, para que cuando se manifestare tengamos confianza y no seamos avergonzados delante de Él en su Parusía.
29 If all of you know that he is righteous, all of you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him.
Si sabéis que Él es justo, reconoced también que de Él ha nacido todo aquel que obra justicia.
