Luke 21
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
イエズス目を翹げて、富める人々の賽銭を賽銭箱に投るるを見、
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
又一人の貧しき寡婦の二厘を投るるを見て、
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
曰ひけるは、我誠に汝等に告ぐ、彼貧しき寡婦は凡ての人より多く投れたり。
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
其は、彼等は皆其餘れる中より賽銭を投れたるに、彼婦は其乏しき中より有てる活計の料を悉く投れたればなり、と。
5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
第三款 種々の預言 或人々、神殿が美き石及び献物にて飾られたる事を語れるに、イエズス曰ひけるは、
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
汝等の見る此品々、終には一の石も崩れずして石の上に遺らざる日來らん、と。
7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
彼等又問ひて、師よ、此等の事は何時あるべきぞ、其起らん時には如何なる兆かあるべき、と云ひしに、
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
イエズス曰ひけるは、汝等惑はされじと注意せよ、其は多くの人我名を冒して來り、我なり、時は近し、と云ふべければなり。然れば彼等に從ふこと勿れ、
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
又戰争叛亂ありと聞くとも怖るること勿れ、此事等は先有るべしと雖、終は未だ直に來らざるなり、と。
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
斯て彼等に曰ひけるは、民は民に、國は國に起逆らひ、
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
又處々に大地震、疫病、飢饉あり、天に凶變あり、大いなる兆あるべし。
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
然て此一切の事に先ちて、人々我名の為に汝等に手を下して汝等を迫害し、會堂に、監獄に付し、王侯総督の前に引かん、
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
此事の汝等に起るは證據とならん為なり。
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
然れば汝等覚悟して、如何に答へんかと豫め慮ること勿れ、
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
其は我、汝等が凡ての敵の言防ぎ言破ること能はざるべき、口と智恵とを汝等に與ふべければなり。
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
又汝等は親、兄弟、親族、朋友より売られ、其中或は彼等に殺さるる者もあるべく、
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
又我名の為に凡ての人に憎まれん。
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
然れども、汝等の髪毛の一縷だも失せじ。
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
忍耐を以て其魂を保て。
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
然てエルザレムが軍隊に取圍まるるを見ば、其時其滅亡は近づきたりと知れ。
21 Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
其時ユデアに居る人は山に遁るべく、市中に居る人は立退くべく、地方に居る人は市中に入るべからず。
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
此は是刑罰の日にして、録されたる事総て成就すべければなり。
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
然れど其日に當りて孕める人、乳を哺まする人は禍いなる哉、其は地上に大いなる難ありて、怒は此民に臨むべければなり。
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
斯て人々は剣の刃に倒れ、捕虜となりて諸國に引かれ、エルザレムは異邦人に蹂躙られ、諸國民の時満つるに至らん。
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
又日、月、星に兆顕れ、地上には海と波との鳴轟きて、諸の國民之が為に狼狽へ、
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
人々は全世界の上に起らんとする事を豫期して、怖ろしさに憔悴ん、其は天上の能力震動すべければなり。
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
時に人の子が、大いなる権力と威光とを以て、雲に乗り來るを見ん。
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
是等の事起らば、仰ぎて首を翹げよ、其は汝等の救贖はるること近ければなり、と。
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
イエズス又彼等に喩を語り給ひけるは、無花果及び一切の樹を見よ、
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
既に自ら芽せば、汝等夏の近きを知る。
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
斯の如く此事等の起るを見ば、神の國は近しと知れ。
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
我誠に汝等に告ぐ、此事の皆成就するまで、現代は過ぎざらん、
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
天地は過ぎん、然れど我言は過ぎざるべし。
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
自ら慎め、恐らくは汝等の心、放蕩、酩酊、或は今生の心勞の為に鈍りて、彼日は思はず汝等の上に來らん、
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
此は地の全面に住む人間一切の上に、罠の如く來るべければなり。
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
然れば汝等、來るべき此凡ての事を迯れ、人の子の前に立つに堪へたる者とせらるる様、警戒して不断に祈れ、と。
37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
イエズス晝は[神]殿にて教へ、夜は出でて橄欖山と云へる山に宿り居給ひしが、
38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
人民は、之に聴かんとて、朝早くより[神]殿の内に於て、御許に至り居りき。
