Luke 15
1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
Es kamen Zöllner und Sünder aller Art zu ihm, um ihn zu hören.
2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
Darüber murrten die Pharisäer und die Schriftgelehrten; sie sprachen: "Er nimmt sich der Sünder an und ißt mit ihnen."
3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
Da trug er ihnen folgendes Gleichnis vor:
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
"Wer von euch, der hundert Schafe hat und eins davon verliert, läßt nicht die neunundneunzig in der Steppe und geht dem verirrten nach, bis er es findet?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Und hat er es gefunden, so nimmt er es voll Freude auf seine Schultern.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Und wenn er dann nach Hause kommt, so ruft er seine Freunde und alle Nachbarn zusammen und sagt zu ihnen: 'Freut euch mit mir; ich habe mein verirrtes Schaf wiedergefunden!'
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Ich sage euch: Geradeso wird im Himmel mehr Freude sein über einen einzigen Sünder, der sich bekehrt, als über neunundneunzig Gerechte, die sich nicht zu bekehren brauchen.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
Oder welches Weib, das zehn Drachmen besitzt und eine davon verloren hat, zündet nicht ein Licht an, kehrt das Haus und sucht mit Sorgfalt, bis sie das Geld gefunden hat?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Und hat sie es gefunden, so ruft sie ihre Freundinnen und Nachbarinnen zusammen und sagt: 'Freut euch mit mir; ich habe die Drachme gefunden, die ich verloren hatte.'
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Ebenso, sage ich euch, herrscht auch bei den Engeln Gottes Freude über einen einzigen Sünder, der sich bekehrt."
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
Dann fuhr er fort: "Ein Mann hatte zwei Söhne.
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
Der jüngere sprach zum Vater: 'Vater, gib mir den Anteil des Vermögens, der mir zukommt.' Dieser teilte das Vermögen unter sie.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
Einige Tage später packte der jüngere Sohn all sein Gut zusammen und zog in ein fremdes Land. Dort verschwendete er sein Vermögen durch ein liederliches Leben.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
Als er alles durchgebracht hatte, entstand überall in jenem Lande schwere Hungersnot, und allmählich litt er bittere Not.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
Da ging er hin und drängte sich einem Bürger dieses Landes auf. Und dieser schickte ihn auf seine Felder, um dort die Schweine zu hüten.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
Zu gern hätte er nun seinen Magen mit den Schoten angefüllt, die die Schweine fraßen; doch niemand gab sie ihm.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
Da kam er wieder zur Besinnung, und er sprach: 'Wie viele Taglöhner bei meinem Vater haben Brot im Überfluß, und ich komme hier vor Hunger um!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
Ich will mich aufmachen, zu meinem Vater gehen und ihm sagen: Vater, ich habe gesündigt wider den Himmel und vor dir;
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
ich bin nicht wert, dein Sohn zu heißen, halte mich nur wie einen deiner Taglöhner. '
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Da machte er sich auf und ging zu seinem Vater. Als er noch weit weg war, sah ihn schon sein Vater und ward von Mitleid gerührt. Er eilte ihm entgegen, fiel ihm um den Hals und küßte ihn.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Da sprach zu ihm der Sohn: 'Vater, ich habe gesündigt wider den Himmel und vor dir. Ich bin nicht mehr wert, dein Sohn zu heißen.'
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Jedoch der Vater sagte seinen Knechten: 'Holt schnell das beste Kleid und zieht es ihm an; gebt ihm einen Ring an die Hand und Schuhe an die Füße.
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Holt auch das Mastkalb her und schlachtet es; wir wollen essen und fröhlich sein.
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Denn dieser mein Sohn war tot und lebt nun wieder; er war verirrt und ist jetzt wiedergefunden.' Und sie fingen an, ein Freudenmahl zu halten.
25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
Sein älterer Sohn war eben auf dem Felde. Als er auf dem Heimweg in die Nähe des Hauses kam, hörte er Musik und Tanz.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
Da rief er einen Knecht herbei und fragte, was dies zu bedeuten habe.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
Er sagte ihm: 'Dein Bruder ist gekommen; dein Vater hat das Mastkalb schlachten lassen, weil er ihn gesund zurückerhalten hat.'
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
Da ward er zornig und wollte nicht hineingehen. Sein Vater aber ging hinaus und redete ihm gütlich zu.
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
Er aber sprach zum Vater: 'Sieh, schon so viele Jahre diene ich dir und habe noch niemals einen deiner Befehle übertreten. Doch mir hast du noch nie auch nur ein Böcklein überlassen, damit ich mit meinen Freunden hätte ein Festmahl halten können.
30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
Jetzt aber, da dein Sohn, der dein Vermögen mit Huren verpraßt hat, heimkommt, da hast du ihm das Mastkalb schlachten lassen.'
31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
Doch er entgegnete ihm: 'Mein Sohn, du bist mit bei mir, und all das meinige ist dein.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
Jedoch wir mußten fröhlich sein und jubeln; denn dieser dein Bruder war tot und lebt jetzt wieder; er war verirrt und ist wieder aufgefunden worden.'"
