Psalms 57
1 Be merciful unto me, O Elohim, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
Dem Sangmeister nach Al Taschcheth, ein Goldlied von David, als er vor Saul in die Höhle entwich. Sei mir gnädig, o Gott, sei mir gnädig; denn auf Dich verläßt meine Seele sich und auf den Schatten Deiner Flügel verlasse ich mich, bis das Unheil vorüber ist.
2 I will cry unto Elohim most high; unto El that performeth all things for me.
Ich rufe zu Gott, zum Allerhöchsten, zu Gott, Der es für mich ausführt.
3 He shall send from heaven, and save from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) Elohim shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
Er sendet vom Himmel und rettet mich vom Schmähen dessen, der nach mir schnappt. (Selah) Gott sendet aus Seine Barmherzigkeit und Seine Wahrheit.
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Ich liege mit meiner Seele inmitten der Löwen. Des Menschen Söhne sind entflammt; ihre Zähne sind Spieße und Pfeile und ihre Zunge scharfe Schwerter.
5 Be thou exalted, O Elohim, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
Erhöhe Dich über die Himmel, o Gott, über die ganze Erde Deine Herrlichkeit.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. (Selah)
Ein Netz bereiten sie meinen Tritten, daß meine Seele sich krümmte. Sie gruben vor mir eine Fallgrube, sie fallen selbst mitten hinein. (Selah)
7 My heart is fixed, O Elohim, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
Mein Herz ist fest, o Gott, mein Herz ist fest. Ich will singen und lobpreisen.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Wache auf, meine Herrlichkeit, wachet auf, Psalter und Harfe, ich will das Morgenrot aufwecken.
9 I will praise thee, O YHWH, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
Ich will bekennen Dich, Herr, unter den Völkern, Dir Psalmen singen unter den Volksstämmen.
10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
Denn groß bis an die Himmel ist Deine Barmherzigkeit, und Deine Wahrheit bis zu den Ätherkreisen.
11 Be thou exalted, O Elohim, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
Erhöhe über die Himmel Dich, o Gott, über die ganze Erde Deine Herrlichkeit!
