Isaiah 1
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
೧ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸರಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯ, ಯೋಥಾಮ, ಆಹಾಜ, ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯ ಇವರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ ಆದ ದೈವದರ್ಶನ.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for YHWH hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
೨ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವೇ, ಆಲಿಸು! ಭೂಮಂಡಲವೇ ಕೇಳು! ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾನು ಸಾಕಿ ಸಲಹಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ನನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
೩ಎತ್ತು ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು, ಕತ್ತೆ ಒಡೆಯನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೋ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken YHWH, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
೪ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠ ಜನಾಂಗವೇ, ಅಧರ್ಮದ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೇ, ದುಷ್ಟಜಾತಿಯೇ, ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆತನಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
೫ಏಕೆ ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೀರಿ? ತಲೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ರೋಗ, ಹೃದಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ದುರ್ಬಲ.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
೬ಅಂಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯ ತನಕ ಪೆಟ್ಟು, ಬಾಸುಂಡೆ, ವಾಸಿಯಾಗದ ಗಾಯಗಳೇ ಹೊರತು ಏನೂ ಸೌಖ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಸವರಿ ಮೃದು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
೭ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು.
8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
೮ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಗರವೊಂದೇ ಉಳಿದು, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದ ಮನೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಸೌತೆಕಾಯಿಯ ಹೊಲದ ಗುಡಿಸಿಲಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದೆ.
9 Except YHWH of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
೯ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸದೇ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಗತಿಯೇ ನಮಗಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಗೊಮೋರದ ದುರ್ದಶೆಯೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
10 Hear the word of YHWH, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our Elohim, ye people of Gomorrah.
೧೦ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ. ಗೊಮೋರದ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೇ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith YHWH: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
೧೧ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳು ನನಗೇಕೆ? ಟಗರುಗಳ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗ ಹೋಮ, ಪುಷ್ಟಪಶುಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬು, ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಯಿತು. ಹೋರಿ, ಕುರಿಗಳ, ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಒಲಿಯೆನು.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
೧೨ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬರುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ; ನನ್ನ ಆಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲು ಯಾರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
೧೩ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ತರಬೇಡಿ; ಧೂಪವು ನನಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ; ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಹಬ್ಬ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನ, ಕೂಟ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ಇವು ಬೇಡ; ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಸಂಘವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಹಿಸಲಾರೆನು.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
೧೪ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಹಬ್ಬ, ಉತ್ಸವ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಇವು ನನಗೆ ಭಾರ; ಸಹಿಸಲು ಬೇಸರ.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
೧೫ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಕೈಯೆತ್ತುವಾಗ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನಾನು ಆಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತವು ತುಂಬಿದೆ.
16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
೧೬ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದು ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿರಿ, ದುರಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿ,
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
೧೭ಸದಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕಲಿಯಿರಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯಿರಿ. ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಅನಾಥನಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿರಿ. ವಿಧವೆಯ ಪಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ವಾದಿಸಿರಿ.”
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith YHWH: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
೧೮“ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ವಾದಿಸುವ” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕಡುಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಹಿಮದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಳುಪಾಗುವವು. ಕಿರಮಂಜಿ ಬಣ್ಣವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯಂತೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗುವವು.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
೧೯ನೀವು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ವಿಧೇಯರಾದರೆ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿರಿ.
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of YHWH hath spoken it.
೨೦ಒಪ್ಪದೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ, ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುವಿರಿ” ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
೨೧ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳ ನಗರಿಯು ಸೂಳೆಯಾದಳಲ್ಲಾ! ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಗರ ಈಗ ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕರಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
೨೨ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು. ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ನೀರಾಯಿತು.
23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
೨೩ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೂ, ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗೆಳೆಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಲಂಚಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವನು; ಅನಾಥರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ವಿಧವೆಯರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಾರದು.
24 Therefore saith the Master, YHWH of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
೨೪ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಶೂರನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆ ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಆಹಾ, ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ ಶಾಂತನಾಗುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
೨೫ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಲಸುತನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಲ್ಮಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುವೆನು.
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
೨೬ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗಿದ್ದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಮಂತ್ರಾಲೋಚಕರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಒದಗಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಸದಾಚಾರದ ನಗರಿ ಎಂತಲೂ, ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯುಳ್ಳ ನಗರಿ ಎಂತಲೂ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವಿ.”
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
೨೭ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ನೀತಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಪಶ್ತಾತ್ತಾಪ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಆಕೆಯ ಜನರೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವರು.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake YHWH shall be consumed.
೨೮ಆದರೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು. ಹೌದು, ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು.
29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
೨೯“ನೀವು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟ ಏಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವಿರಿ. ಗೊತ್ತು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ವನಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಲಜ್ಜೆಪಡುವಿರಿ.
30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
೩೦ಎಲೆ ಒಣಗಿದ ಏಲಾ ಮರದಂತೆಯೂ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ವನದ ಹಾಗೂ ಇರುವಿರಿ.
31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
೩೧ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೇ ಸೆಣಬಿನ ನಾರು, ಅವನ ಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಕಿಡಿ, ಎರಡೂ ಸೇರಿ ಯಾರೂ ಆರಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವವು.”
