Genesis 40
1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their master the king of Egypt.
೧ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವನೂ, ಆಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡುವವನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
೨ಫರೋಹನು ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅಂದರೆ ಪಾನದಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅಡಿಗೆ ಭಟ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು,
3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
೩ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೈಗಾವಲಿನವರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕಾವಲಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದನು. ಅದು ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಬಂಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು
4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.
೪ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಉಪಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವವನಾದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.
೫ಐಗುಪ್ತ ಅರಸನು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪಾನದಾಯಕನಿಗೂ, ಅಡಿಗೆ ಭಟ್ಟನಿಗೂ, ಒಂದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕನಸುಬಿತ್ತು. ಅವರವರ ಕನಸಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಅರ್ಥವಿತ್ತು.
6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
೬ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಬಹು ಚಿಂತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿದರು.
7 And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his master's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
೭ಅದನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೋಡಿ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖವು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಏಕೆ ಕಳೆಗುಂದಿದೆ?” ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾವಲಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಫರೋಹನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to Elohim? tell me them, I pray you.
೮ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಮಗೆ ಕನಸುಬಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಕನಸುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ದೊರಕಬಹುದಲ್ಲವೇ? ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;
೯ಆಗ ಪಾನದಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಂಡೆನು.
10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:
೧೦ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಯ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅದು ಚಿಗುರುತ್ತಲೇ ಹೂವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು; ಆ ಹೂವುಗಳು ಗೊಂಚಲುಗಳಾಗಿ ಹಣ್ಣಾದವು.
11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.
೧೧ಫರೋಹನ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಗೊಂಚಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಡಿ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:
೧೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು, “ಆ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಆ ಮೂರು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಯ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳೇ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳು.
13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
೧೩ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಫರೋಹನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಪುನಃ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸುವನು. ನೀನು ಮೊದಲು ಫರೋಹನ ಪಾನದಾಯಕನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಿ.
14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
೧೪ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಸುಖದಿಂದಿರುವಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಈ ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಬೇಕು.
15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
೧೫ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಇಬ್ರಿಯ ದೇಶದವನು. ಕೆಲವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡದೆ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವೆನು” ಅಂದನು.
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
೧೬ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಅರ್ಥವು ಶುಭಕರವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಅಡಿಗೆಭಟ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ತಿಳಿದು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ, ನಾನೂ ಕಂಡ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಕೇಳು, “ನನಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಗಸಾದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದ ಮೂರು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದವು.
17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
೧೭ಮೇಲಿನ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು. ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದಲೇ ತಿಂದುಹಾಕಿದವು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:
೧೮ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಆ ಮೂರು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗಳೇ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳು.
19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
೧೯ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಫರೋಹನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಸುವನು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ತೂಗು ಹಾಕಿಸುವನು, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು” ಎಂದನು.
20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
೨೦ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಾನದಾಯಕನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಡಿಗೆಭಟ್ಟನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಸೇವಕರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:
೨೧ಪಾನದಾಯಕರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಅವನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಪಾನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಡುವವನಾದನು.
22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
೨೨ಆದರೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಡಿಗೆಭಟ್ಟನನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು.
23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
೨೩ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಾನದಾಯಕನು ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನು ನೆನಪುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
