Ezra 8
1 These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.
A oto naczelnicy rodów i rodowody tych, którzy wyruszyli ze mną z Babilonu za panowania króla Artakserksesa:
2 Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.
Z synów Pinchasa – Gerszom; z synów Itamara – Daniel; z synów Dawida – Chattusz;
3 Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.
Z synów Szekaniasza, z synów Parosza – Zachariasz, a z nim spisanych według rodowodów było stu pięćdziesięciu mężczyzn;
4 Of the sons of Pahath-moab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.
Z synów Pachat-Moaba – Elioenaj, syn Zerachiasza, a z nim dwustu mężczyzn;
5 Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.
Z synów Szekaniasza – syn Jahaziela, a z nim trzystu mężczyzn;
6 Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.
Z synów Adina – Ebed, syn Jonatana, a z nim pięćdziesięciu mężczyzn;
7 And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.
Z synów Elama – Jeszajasz, syn Ataliasza, a z nim siedemdziesięciu mężczyzn;
8 And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.
Z synów Szefatiasza – Zebadiasz, syn Mikaela, a z nim osiemdziesięciu mężczyzn;
9 Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.
Z synów Joaba – Obadiasz, syn Jechiela, a z nim dwustu osiemnastu mężczyzn;
10 And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.
Z synów Szelomita – syn Josifiasza, a z nim stu sześćdziesięciu mężczyzn;
11 And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.
Z synów Bebaja – Zachariasz, syn Bebaja, a z nim dwudziestu ośmiu mężczyzn;
12 And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.
Z synów Azgada – Johanan, syn Hakkatana, a z nim stu dziesięciu mężczyzn;
13 And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.
Z synów Adonikama [wyruszyli] ostatni, a oto ich imiona: Elifelet, Jejel i Szemajasz, a z nimi sześćdziesięciu mężczyzn;
14 Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.
Z synów Bigwaja – Utaj i Zabbud, a z nimi siedemdziesięciu mężczyzn.
15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
I zgromadziłem ich nad rzeką, która płynie do Achawy, i obozowaliśmy tam przez trzy dni. Potem dokonałem przeglądu ludu i kapłanów, a z synów Lewiego nie znalazłem tam [żadnego].
16 Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
Posłałem więc Eliezera, Ariela, Szemajasza, Elnatana, Jariba, Elnatana, Natana, Zachariasza i Meszullama, naczelników, a także Jojariba i Elnatana, [ludzi] rozumnych;
17 And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our Elohim.
I dałem przez nich polecenie Iddo, przełożonemu w miejscowości Kasifia, i przekazałem im słowa, które mieli powiedzieć do niego i jego braci Netinitów w miejscowości Kasifia; poleciłem, aby nam przyprowadzili sługi dla domu naszego Boga.
18 And by the good hand of our Elohim upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
I ponieważ łaskawa ręka naszego Boga była nad nami, przyprowadzili do nas, człowieka rozumnego spośród synów Machliego, syna Lewiego, syna Izraela, oraz Szerebiasza wraz z jego synami i braćmi – razem osiemnaście [osób];
19 And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
I Chaszabiasza, a z nim Jeszajasz spośród synów Merariego wraz z jego braćmi i ich synów – razem dwadzieścia [osób];
20 Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
Ponadto spośród Netinitów, których Dawid i naczelnicy ustanowili do posługiwania Lewitom – dwieście dwadzieścia Netinitów. Ci wszyscy zostali imiennie wyznaczeni.
21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our Elohim, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
Wtedy tam, nad rzeką Achawa, ogłosiłem post, abyśmy ukorzyli się przed naszym Bogiem i abyśmy uprosili u niego szczęśliwą drogę dla nas, naszych dzieci i całego naszego dobytku.
22 For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our Elohim is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
Wstydziłem się bowiem prosić króla o żołnierzy i jeźdźców, aby nas w drodze ratowali przed wrogami, ponieważ powiedzieliśmy królowi: Ręka naszego Boga [jest] nad wszystkimi, którzy go szukają, dla ich dobra, ale jego moc i gniew przeciwko wszystkim, którzy go opuszczają.
23 So we fasted and besought our Elohim for this: and he was intreated of us.
Pościliśmy więc i prosiliśmy o to naszego Boga. A on nas wysłuchał.
24 Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
Wtedy spośród przedniejszych kapłanów wydzieliłem dwunastu: Szerebiasza, Chaszabiasza, a z nimi dziesięciu ich braci;
25 And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our Elohim, which the king, and his counsellers, and hismasters, and all Israel there present, had offered:
I odważyłem im srebro, złoto i naczynia, czyli ofiarę dla domu naszego Boga, którą złożyli: król, jego doradcy, jego dostojnicy oraz cały Izrael tam obecny.
26 I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;
Odważyłem im więc do rąk sześćset pięćdziesiąt talentów srebra, sto talentów naczyń srebrnych, sto talentów złota;
27 Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
Dwadzieścia złotych pucharów, [ważących] po tysiąc darejków, i dwa naczynia z wybornego mosiądzu, tak piękne jak złoto.
28 And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto YHWH; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto YHWH Elohim of your fathers.
Potem powiedziałem do nich: Wy jesteście poświęceni PANU, naczynia [także] są poświęcone, a to srebro i złoto [są] dobrowolnym darem dla PANA, Boga waszych ojców.
29 Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of YHWH.
Pilnujcie i strzeżcie [ich], dopóki nie odważycie [ich] przed przedniejszymi kapłanami, Lewitami i naczelnikami rodów Izraela w Jerozolimie, w komnatach domu PANA.
30 So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our Elohim.
Wzięli więc kapłani i Lewici odważone srebro, złoto i naczynia, aby [je] zanieść do Jerozolimy, do domu naszego Boga.
31 Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our Elohim was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
Potem wyruszyliśmy znad rzeki Achawa dwunastego [dnia] pierwszego miesiąca, aby udać się do Jerozolimy. A ręka naszego Boga była nad nami i wyrwała nas z ręki wrogów i czyhających [na nas] w drodze.
32 And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.
I przybyliśmy do Jerozolimy, i zamieszkaliśmy tam przez trzy dni.
33 Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our Elohim by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;
A czwartego dnia odważono srebro, złoto i naczynia w domu naszego Boga – do ręki Meremota, syna kapłana Uriasza, z którym był Eleazar, syn Pinchasa; z nimi też [byli] Jozabad, syn Jeszuy, i Noadiasz, syn Binnuja, Lewici;
34 By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
Wszystko według liczby i wagi; i zapisano wagę tego wszystkiego w tym czasie.
35 Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the Elohim of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto YHWH.
Następnie ci, którzy zostali pojmani, a powrócili z niewoli, złożyli Bogu Izraela ofiarę całopalną: dwanaście cielców za całego Izraela, dziewięćdziesiąt sześć baranów, siedemdziesiąt siedem jagniąt i dwanaście kozłów na ofiarę za grzech, wszystko jako całopalenie PANU.
36 And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of Elohim.
I przekazano rozporządzenie króla jego satrapom i namiestnikom zarzecza, a ci wspomagali lud i dom Boży.
