Malachi 4
1 FOR, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Denn siehe, es kommt der Tag, der wie der Ofen brennt; und alle Vermessenen und die, so Ungerechtigkeit taten, sind Stoppel, und der Tag, der kommt, entflammt sie, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, und weder Wurzel, noch Ast wird er denselben hinterlassen.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Euch aber, die ihr Meinen Namen fürchtet, wird aufgehen die Sonne der Gerechtigkeit, und Heilung unter ihren Flügeln, und ihr geht aus und wachset heran wie die Mastkälber.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
Und die Gottlosen werdet ihr daniedertreten; denn Asche sollen sie unter den Sohlen eurer Füße sein an dem Tage, den Ich mache, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Gedenkt an das Gesetz des Moses, Meines Knechtes, das Ich ihm gebot auf Choreb an ganz Israel, an die Satzungen und Rechte.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
Siehe, Ich sende euch Elijah, den Propheten, bevor da kommt der Tag Jehovahs, der große und furchtbare.
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Und er wird das Herz der Väter zu den Söhnen zurückwenden, und das Herz der Söhne zu ihren Vätern, auf daß Ich nicht komme und schlage mit dem Banne das Land.
