Judges 5
1 THEN sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
Und es sang Deborah und Barak, der Sohn Abinoams, am selben Tag und sprach:
2 Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.
Weil sie mit Hingebung sich hingaben in Israel, weil das Volk willig war, segnet Jehovah.
3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the Lord; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel.
Höret ihr Könige, nehmet zu Ohren, ihr Beherrscher! Ich, ich will Jehovah singen, ich will Psalmen singen Jehovah, dem Gott Israels.
4 Lord, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
Da du, Jehovah, ausgingst aus Seir, da Du aus dem Felde Edoms schrittest einher, erbebte die Erde, auch die Himmel troffen, auch die dichten Wolken troffen Wasser.
5 The mountains melted from before the Lord, even that Sinai from before the Lord God of Israel.
Berge zerflossen vor Jehovah, dieser Sinai vor Jehovah, dem Gott Israels.
6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.
In den Tagen Schamgars, des Sohnes Anaths, in den Tagen Jaels hörten die Pfade auf; die auf Steigen gingen, gingen auf krummen Pfaden.
7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.
Die Landstädte hörten in Israel auf, sie hörten auf, bis daß ich aufstand, ich Deborah, bis daß ich aufstand, eine Mutter in Israel.
8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
Er wählet neue Götter. Da war Streit an den Toren. Man sieht nicht Schild noch Speer bei den Vierzigtausenden in Israel.
9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the Lord.
Mein Herz ist für die Gesetzgeber Israels, die willig sich zeigten in dem Volk. Segnet Jehovah!
10 Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.
Ihr, die ihr reitet auf weißen Eselinnen, die ihr sitzet auf Prachtteppichen, die ihr auf dem Weg geht. Sinnet nach.
11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the Lord go down to the gates.
Mit der Stimme der Pfeilschützen zwischen den Schöpferinnen. Laßt erzählen sie die Gerechtigkeiten Jehovahs, die Gerechtigkeiten Seiner Landstädte in Israel. Dann lasset sie, Jehovahs Volk, hinabgehen zu den Toren.
12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.
Wach auf, wach auf, du Deborah! Wach auf, wach auf! Sprich den Gesang! Mache auf dich, Barak, nimm deine Gefangenschaft gefangen, Sohn Abinoams.
13 Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the Lord made me have dominion over the mighty.
Nun wird der Rest beherrschen die Stattlichen, o Volk; Jehovah wird für mich beherrschen die Mächtigen.
14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
Von Ephraim, was auf dem Amalek wurzelt, hinter dir her Benjamin mit deinen Völkern. Von Machir kommen die Gesetzgeber herab, und von Sebulun, die des Schreibers Rute führen.
15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.
Und Oberste in Issaschar sind mit Deborah. Und wie Barak ist Issaschar. Auf seinen Füßen wird er in den Talgrund gesandt. In den Reihen Rubens sind große Bedenken des Herzens.
16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
Warum bliebst du sitzen zwischen zwei Bürden, zu hören das Flöten bei den Herden. In den Reihen Rubens sind große Ergründungen des Herzens.
17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.
Gilead wohnt jenseits des Jordan. Und Dan, weshalb bangt dir vor den Schiffen? Ascher sitzt am Gestade der Meere und wohnt an seinen Buchten.
18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.
Sebulun ist ein Volk, das sein Leben bloßlegt dem Tod, und Naphthali auf den Höhen des Feldes.
19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.
Könige kamen, sie stritten. Da stritten die Könige Kanaans in Thaanach, an Megiddos Wassern. Keinen Gewinn von Silber nahmen sie davon.
20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.
Vom Himmel stritten sie, die Sterne stritten von ihren Bahnen wider Sisera.
21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.
Weg schwemmte sie der Bach Kischon. Ein Bach der Vorzeit ist der Bach Kischon. Tritt, meine Seele, auf die Stärke!
22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.
Da stampften die Hufe der Rosse von dem Jagen, von dem Jagen seiner Gewaltigen.
23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty.
Verfluchet Meros! spricht Jehovahs Engel. Verfluchet seine Einwohner; denn sie kamen nicht Jehovah beizustehen, beizustehen Jehovah wider die Mächtigen.
24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
Gesegnet sei vor den Weibern Jael, das Weib des Cheber, des Keniten; vor den Weibern im Zelte sei sie gesegnet!
25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.
Er erbat sich Wasser, sie gab Milch. In der Schale des Stattlichen brachte sie Rahm dar.
26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.
Sie reckte ihre Hand aus nach dem Pflocke und ihre Rechte nach der Arbeiter Hammer. Und sie zerhämmerte Sisera, zerschlug sein Haupt; und sie zerschmetterte und durchbohrte seine Schläfe.
27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.
Zwischen ihren Füßen krümmt er sich, er fällt, er liegt. Zwischen ihren Füßen krümmt er sich, er fällt. Wie er sich krümmt, da fällt er zerscheitert.
28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
Durch das Fenster schaute aus, durch das Gitter jammerte die Mutter Siseras. Warum verzieht sein Streitwagen, daß er komme? Warum zögern seiner Streitwagen Rollgänge?
29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,
Die weisen von ihren Edelfrauen antworten ihr; auch sie erwidert selber sich Rede:
30 Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?
Ob sie nicht Beute finden und verteilen? Eine Dirne, zwei Dirnen auf jedes Mannes Haupt? Beute an bunten Gewändern für Sisera; Beute an bunten gewirkten Gewändern. Bunte, doppelt gewirkte Zeuge um den Hals der Beute?
31 So let all thine enemies perish, O Lord: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
Also müssen umkommen alle deine Feinde, Jehovah! Und die Ihn lieben, wie die Sonne ausgeht in ihrer Macht! - Und das Land war stille vierzig Jahr.
