Jeremiah 15

1 THEN said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

Und Jehovah sprach zu mir: Ständen Mose und Samuel vor Meinem Angesicht, so wäre Meine Seele doch nicht für dieses Volk. Sende sie von Meinem Angesicht, daß sie hinausgehen.

2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

Und es geschehe, wenn sie zu dir sagen: Wohin sollen wir hinausgehen? so sprich zu ihnen: So spricht Jehovah! Die, so da sind für den Tod, zum Tode; die für das Schwert, zum Schwert; die für den Hunger, zum Hunger; und die für die Gefangenschaft, zur Gefangenschaft!

3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

Und mit vier Arten suche Ich sie heim, spricht Jehovah, mit dem Schwerte, sie zu erwürgen, und mit den Hunden, sie herumzuschleifen, und mit dem Gevögel der Himmel und dem Getier der Erde, sie zu fressen und zu verderben.

4 And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

Und Ich gebe sie zu einer Aufregung für alle Königreiche der Erde, wegen Menascheh, dem Sohne Jechiskijahus, des Königs von Jehudah, ob dem, das er getan hat in Jerusalem.

5 For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

Denn wer wird dich bemitleiden, Jerusalem, und wer dich bedauern, und wer sich hinwenden, um nach deinem Frieden zu fragen?

6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

Du hast Mich aufgegeben, spricht Jehovah, bist hinter dich gegangen. Und Ich habe Meine Hand über dich ausgereckt, daß Ich dich verderbe, Ich bin des Tröstens müde.

7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.

Und will sie mit der Worfschaufel zu des Landes Toren hinausschaufeln, kinderlos machen, zerstören Mein Volk, da sie von ihren Wegen nicht zurückkehrten.

8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

Zahlreicher werden Mir seine Witwen als der Sand der Meere, und Ich bringe über die Mutter des Jünglings den Verheerer am Mittage, und lasse plötzlich über sie fallen Wehen und Bestürzung.

9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the Lord.

Es verschmachtet die, so sieben geboren, sie haucht ihre Seele aus, ihre Sonne geht unter, während es noch Tag ist. Sie ist beschämt und errötet; und ihren Überrest gebe Ich dem Schwerte vor ihren Feinden, spricht Jehovah.

10 Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

Wehe mir, meine Mutter, daß du mich geboren! Ein Mann des Haders bin ich und ein Mann des Rechtens für das ganze Land. Ich lieh nicht und sie liehen mir nicht. Sie alle doch fluchen mir.

11 The Lord said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

Es sprach Jehovah: Lasse Ich dich nicht befreien zum Guten, lasse Ich nicht vermitteln für dich beim Feind zur Zeit des Übels und zur Zeit der Drangsal?

12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

Wird denn zerbrochen werden das Eisen, das Eisen von Mitternacht und das Erz?

13 Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

Dein Vermögen und deine Schätze will Ich ohne Kaufpreis zum Raube geben, und das um all eurer Sünden willen, und in allen euren Grenzen.

14 And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

Und Ich lasse deine Feinde übergehen in ein Land, das du nicht kennst. Denn Feuer ist angefacht in Meinem Zorn, über euch lodert es auf.

15 O Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

Du weißt es, Jehovah, gedenke meiner und suche mich heim, und räche mich an meinen Verfolgern. Nimm mich nicht hin in Deiner Langmut, wisse, daß ob Deiner ich Schmach trage.

16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

Deine Worte wurden gefunden und ich verzehrte sie, und Deine Worte wurden mir zur Freude und zur Fröhlichkeit meines Herzens; denn Dein Name ward über mich genannt, Jehovah, Gott der Heerscharen.

17 I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

Ich saß nicht in dem Kreis der Scherzenden und jauchzte. Einsam saß ich vor Deiner Hand; denn mit Unwillen hattest Du mich erfüllt.

18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

Warum ist mein Schmerz immerwährend und meine Wunde verzweifelt, weigert sich zu heilen? Bist du wirklich mir falsch, Wasser, die nicht währen?

19 Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

Darum, so spricht Jehovah: So du zurückkehrst und Ich dich zu Mir zurückwende, sollst du vor Meinem Angesicht stehen und wenn du herausbringst das Kostbare von dem Mißachteten, sollst du sein, wie Mein Mund. Sie sollen zu dir zurückkehren und du sollst dich nicht zu ihnen zurückkehren.

20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

Und Ich mache dich für dies Volk zu einer befestigten Mauer von Erz, und sie werden streiten wider dich, werden aber nichts wider dich vermögen; denn Ich bin mit dir, dir zu helfen und dich zu erretten, spricht Jehovah.

21 And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

Und Ich will dich erretten aus der Hand der Bösen und dich loskaufen aus der Faust der Trotzigen.
