Deuteronomy 30

1 AND it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,

Und geschehen wird, wenn alle diese Dinge über dich kommen, der Segen und der Fluch, die ich vor dich lege; wenn du zu deinem Herzen dich zurückwendest, wo du auch unter den Völkerschaften bist, dahin dich Jehovah, dein Gott, verstoßen hat,

2 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

Und kehrst zurück zu Jehovah, deinem Gott, und hörst auf Seine Stimme nach allem, was ich heute dir gebiete, du und deine Söhne, mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele;

3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

So wendet Jehovah, dein Gott, deine Gefangenschaft zurück, und erbarmt Sich deiner, und wendet Sich zurück und bringt dich zusammen aus allen Völkern, wohin dich Jehovah, dein Gott, zerstreut hat.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

Wenn deine Verstoßenen am Ende der Himmel wären, so wird doch Jehovah, dein Gott, dich von dannen zusammenbringen und von dannen holen;

5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

Und wird dich hineinbringen Jehovah, dein Gott, zum Lande, das deine Väter erblich besessen hatten, und du wirst es erblich besitzen; und Er wird Gutes dir tun, und deiner mehr machen, als deiner Väter waren.

6 And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Und Jehovah, dein Gott, wird dein Herz beschneiden und das Herz deines Samens, so daß du Jehovah, deinen Gott, liebst von deinem ganzen Herzen und von deiner ganzen Seele, auf daß du leben mögest.

7 And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

Und Jehovah, dein Gott, wird all diese Verwünschungen auf deine Feinde legen und auf die, so dich hassen, die dir nachsetzen.

8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

Und du wirst dich zurückwenden und auf die Stimme Jehovahs hören und alle Seine Gebote tun, die ich dir gebiete.

9 And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

Und Jehovah, dein Gott, wird dir Überfluß geben in allem Tun deiner Hand, an der Frucht deines Leibes und an der Frucht deines Viehs und an der Frucht deines Bodens, zum Guten; denn Jehovah wird Sich wieder über dich freuen zum Guten, wie Er Sich über deine Väter freute;

10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

So du hörst auf die Stimme Jehovahs, deines Gottes, daß du hältst Seine Gebote und Seine Satzungen, die geschrieben sind im Buche dieses Gesetzes, wenn du dich von deinem ganzen Herzen und von deiner ganzen Seele zu Jehovah, deinem Gotte, zurückwenden wirst.

11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

Denn dieses Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, ist nicht zu wundersam für dich und ist nicht zu fern.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Es ist nicht in den Himmeln, daß du sagen könntest: Wer steigt für uns hinauf gen Himmel und holt es für uns und läßt es uns hören, auf daß wir es tun.

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Und es ist nicht jenseits des Meeres, daß du sagen könntest: Wer fährt für uns jenseits des Meeres und holt es für uns hinüber und läßt es uns hören, daß wir es tun?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Denn das Wort ist dir sehr nahe; in deinem Mund und in deinem Herzen ist es, daß du es tust.

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Siehe, ich habe heute vor dich gegeben Leben und das Gute, und den Tod und das Böse;

16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Da ich dir heute gebiete, Jehovah, deinen Gott, zu lieben, in Seinen Wegen zu wandeln und Seine Gebote und Seine Satzungen und Seine Rechte zu halten. Und du wirst leben und dich mehren, und Jehovah, dein Gott, wird dich segnen in dem Lande, dahin du kommst, es einzunehmen.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

So aber sich dein Herz wendet und du nicht gehorchst, und wirst abgeführt, daß du andere Götter anbetest und ihnen dienst:

18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

Sage ich euch heute an, daß ihr umkommen werdet und eure Tage nicht verlängert werden auf dem Boden, da du über den Jordan übersetzest, um hineinzukommen, ihn in Besitz zu nehmen;

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Himmel und Erde nehme ich heute wider euch zu Zeugen. Leben und Tod, Segen und Fluch habe ich vor dich gelegt. So erwähle das Leben auf daß du lebest, du und dein Same!

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Daß du Jehovah, deinen Gott, liebest, auf Seine Stimme hörst und Ihm anhangest; denn Er ist dein Leben und die Länge deiner Tage, daß du wohnst auf dem Boden, den Jehovah deinen Vätern, dem Abraham, dem Isaak und dem Jakob geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben.
