Revelation 12
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars:
第一款 婦人及び龍 又天に大いなる徴現れたり、即ち日を着たる一個の婦人あり、其足の下に月ありて、頭には十二の星の冠あり。
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
子を姙して陣痛に遇ひ、将に産まんとして叫び居れり。
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads.
又天に他の徴顕れたり、看よ大いなる赤き龍ありて、七の頭、十の角あり、其頭には七の冠あり、
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
尾は天の星の三分の一を引き居りしが、之を地に擲ち、子を産まんとする婦人の前に立ちて、生れなば其子を食はんと構へたり。
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.
婦人は萬民を鉄の杖もて治むべき一人の男子を生みしに、其子は神の御許に其玉座へ引上げられたり。
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days.
婦人は荒野に迯れしが、此處に一千二百六十日の間養はるる様、神より備へられたる處ありき。
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
斯て天に於て大いなる戰起れり、ミカエル及び其使等、龍と戰ひ、龍も其使等も戰ひ居りしが、
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
龍勝を得ずして天に其跡すらも遺らざりき。 海の砂の上に立てり。
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
而して彼大いなる龍、全世界を惑はせる蛇、所謂惡魔又はサタンなるもの投下されたり、彼地に投下されしかば、其使等も共に投下されたり。
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brothers is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
我又大いなる聲の天に於て斯く言へるを聞けり、我等の神の救と、力と、國と、又其キリストの権能とは、今ぞ至れる、其は我等の兄弟等を訴へて、我等の神の御前に日夜彼等を訴へ居たりしもの、投下されたればなり。
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death.
而して兄弟等は羔の御血により、又己が證明の言によりて之に勝ち、死に至るまで己が生命を惜まざりき。
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.
是故に喜べや、天及び天に住へるものよ、禍なる哉地よ海よ、其は惡魔己が時の唯暫時なるを知りて、大いなる怒を啣みつつ汝等に下りたればなり、と。
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
斯て龍は己が地に投下されたるを見て、男子を生みし婦人に追迫りしが、
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
婦人は荒野に飛ばん為に大いなる鷲の翼を授けられしかば、己が處に至り、一年と數年と半年との間、龍の面前を離れて此處に養はれたり。
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
然るに龍は其口より水を出して、婦人の後より吹懸くる事河の如く、之を河に流さしめんとしたりしも、
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
地は婦人を助け、口を開きて龍の口より吹出したる水を呑盡り。
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
龍は婦人を怒りて、其子孫の中神の掟を守り且イエズス、キリストの證を有する人々と戰はんとて、往きて、
