Jeremiah 34
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,
೧ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು, ಅವನ ಪೂರ್ಣಸೈನ್ಯವು, ಅವನ ಕೈಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು, ಸಕಲ ಜನಗಳು, ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರುಗಳಿಗೂ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
2 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus said the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
೨ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, ‘ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು, ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈವಶಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವನು.
3 And you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and your eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Babylon.
೩ನೀನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅವನ ವಶವಾಗುವಿ; ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಸಮಕ್ಷಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಿ; ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಎದುರೆದುರಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವನು; ನೀನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಗಡಿ ಪಾರಾಗುವಿ.
4 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus says the LORD of you, You shall not die by the sword:
೪ಆದರೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತನಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ.
5 But you shall die in peace: and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings which were before you, so shall they burn odors for you; and they will lament you, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, says the LORD.
೫ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚಿನ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಾದ ಅರಸರಿಗೆ ಧೂಪಹಾಕಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನಗೂ ಹಾಕುವರು; ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಪ್ರಭುವೇ ಎಂದು ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು; ನಾನೇ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ’” ಎಂದನು.
6 Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
೬ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
7 When the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defended cities remained of the cities of Judah.
೭ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದೊಳಗೆ ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದ ಲಾಕೀಷಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಜೇಕಕ್ಕೂ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
8 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them;
೮ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು. ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರೆಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ,
9 That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.
೯“ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ದಾಸ ದಾಸಿಯರೊಳಗೆ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಮಾಡುವನು; ಯಾರೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನು ಗುಲಾಮತನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
10 Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.
೧೦ಆಗ ತಾವು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ದಾಸ, ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ಇನ್ನು ಗುಲಾಮತನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆದು ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದರು.
11 But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.
೧೧ಆದರೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ದಾಸ, ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
12 Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
೧೨ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು,
13 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves, saying,
೧೩“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದಾಗ
14 At the end of seven years let you go every man his brother an Hebrew, which has been sold to you; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers listened not to me, neither inclined their ear.
೧೪‘ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ದಾಸನಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಇಬ್ರಿಯನಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಏಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನಷ್ಟೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
15 And you were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor; and you had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:
೧೫ನೀವೋ ಈಗಲೇ ಮನಮರುಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ.
16 But you turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be to you for servants and for handmaids.
೧೬ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ; ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ದಾಸದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
17 Therefore thus says the LORD; You have not listened to me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, said the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
೧೭ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೂ, ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಿಗೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಇದೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗ, ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷಾಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಲೋಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಾಸ್ಪದವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
18 And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in two, and passed between the parts thereof,
೧೮ನನ್ನ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದವರಿಗೆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ಅದರ ಹೋಳುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಗತಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
19 The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;
೧೯ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು, ಕಂಚುಕಿಗಳು, ಯಾಜಕರು,
20 I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat to the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.
೨೦ಕರುವಿನ ಹೋಳುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾದುಹೋದ ದೇಶದ ಸಕಲ ಜನರು, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಇವರ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು; ಇವರ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಆಕಾಶ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ, ಭೂಜಂತುಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರವಾಗುವವು.
21 And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which are gone up from you.
೨೧ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿರುವ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
22 Behold, I will command, says the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.
೨೨ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವರು; ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಜನವಿಲ್ಲದ ಬೀಳುಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
