2 Chronicles 9
1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bore spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
೧ಶೆಬಾದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಗಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಬಂಗಾರ, ರತ್ನ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಹಾ ಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊತ್ತು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಿಸಿದಳು.
2 And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
೨ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಂಥದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
3 And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
೩ಶೆಬಾದ ರಾಣಿಯು, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಅರಮನೆ,
4 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
೪ಭೋಜನ ಪೀಠದ ಆಹಾರ, ಆ ಪೀಠದ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರ ಆಸನಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರ ಸೇವಾಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಉಡುಪುಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪಾನಸೇವಕರು, ಅವರ ಉಡುಪುಗಳು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗ ಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಳಾಗಿ
5 And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom:
೫ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
6 However, I believed not their words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me: for you exceed the fame that I heard.
೬ನಾನಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ನೋಡುವವರೆಗೆ ಜನರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಈಗ ನೋಡಿದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನಾತಿಶಯವು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿದೆ; ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನಾದರೂ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, which stand continually before you, and hear your wisdom.
೭ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ, ಸದಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಧನ್ಯರು.
8 Blessed be the LORD your God, which delighted in you to set you on his throne, to be king for the LORD your God: because your God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he you king over them, to do judgment and justice.
೮ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ, ತನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಅರಸನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
9 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
೯ಆಕೆಯು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ತಲಾಂತು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಅಪರಿಮಿತ ಸುಗಂಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಶೆಬಾದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನವಾದ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಿಗಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
10 And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
೧೦ಹೂರಾಮನ ಮತ್ತು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಆಳುಗಳು ಓಫೀರ್ ದೇಶದ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರಗಳ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಂದರು.
11 And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king’s palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
೧೧ಅರಸನು ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅರಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೋಪಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ವರಮಂಡಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಇಂಥ ಗಂಧದ ಮರವು ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
12 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, beside that which she had brought to the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
೧೨ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಶೆಬಾದ ರಾಣಿಯಿಂದ ತನಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ಬಹುಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ, ಆಕೆಗೆ ತಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ, ಆಕೆಯು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅನಂತರ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರೊಡನೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದಳು.
13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and three score and six talents of gold;
೧೩ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಆರು ನೂರಅರವತ್ತಾರು ತಲಾಂತು ಬಂಗಾರವು ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
14 Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
೧೪ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇಶಾಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳೂ, ವರ್ತಕರೂ, ಅರಬಸ್ಥಾನದ ಅರಸರೂ, ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
15 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
೧೫ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗುರಾಣಿಗೆ ಆರುನೂರು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
16 And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
೧೬ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಖೇಡ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಖೇಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರ ಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅರಸನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದನು.
17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
೧೭ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಒಂದು ದಂತ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಹೊದಿಸಿದನು.
18 And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
೧೮ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೆಯಾದ ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳೂ, ಬಂಗಾರದ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವೂ, ಒಂದು ಪಾದಪೀಠವು ಇದ್ದವು; ಆಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಎರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
19 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
೧೯ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಟ್ಟು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಇಂಥ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
20 And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
೨೦ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
21 For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
೨೧ಅರಸನ ಹಡುಗುಗಳು ಹೂರಾಮನ ನಾವಿಕರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಾರ್ಷೀಷಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂಗಾರ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದಂತ, ವಾನರ, ನವಿಲು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
22 And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
೨೨ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರಿಗಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
೨೩ಭೂರಾಜರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
24 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
೨೪ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವರ್ಷ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಸಾಮಾನು, ಉಡುಪು, ಯುದ್ಧಸಲಕರಣಿಗಳು, ಶಸ್ತಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಕುದುರೆ, ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
೨೫ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅಶ್ವಸಹಿತವಾದ ರಥಗಳು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಹುತರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ. ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಥಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದನು.
26 And he reigned over all the kings from the river even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
೨೬ಅವನು ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ನದಿ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ದೇಶಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜರನ್ನು ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
27 And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
೨೭ಅರಸನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳು ಇಳಿಜಾರು ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅತ್ತಿ ಮರಗಳಂತೆ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
28 And they brought to Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
೨೮ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
೨೯ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಉಳಿದ ಪೂರ್ವೋತ್ತರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ, ಶೀಲೋವಿನವನಾದ ಅಹೀಯನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥ, ಹಾಗೂ ದಿವ್ಯದಾರ್ಶಿಕನಾದ ಇದ್ದೋವನು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನುಡಿದ ದರ್ಶನೋಕ್ತಿ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
30 And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
೩೦ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ನಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
31 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
೩೧ಆನಂತರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು, ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
