Zechariah 3

1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

तब उसने मुझे दिखाया कि महापुरोहित यहोशू याहवेह के दूत के सामने खड़ा है, और स्वर्गदूत के दाएं तरफ शैतान, यहोशू पर दोष लगाने के लिये खड़ा है.

2 And the LORD said unto Satan: 'The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan, yea, the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee; is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?'

याहवेह ने शैतान से कहा, “हे शैतान, याहवेह तुझे डांटे! याहवेह, जिसने येरूशलेम को चुन लिया है, तुझे डांटे! क्या यह व्यक्ति आग से निकाली गई जलती हुई लाठी के समान नहीं है?”

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

इस समय यहोशू स्वर्गदूत के सामने गंदे कपड़े पहने हुए खड़ा था.

4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying: 'Take the filthy garments from off him.' And unto him he said: 'Behold, I cause thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with robes.'

तब स्वर्गदूत ने अपने सामने खड़े व्यक्तियों से कहा, “उसके गंदे कपड़ों को उतार दो.” तब उसने यहोशू से कहा, “देखो, मैंने तुम्हारे पापों को दूर कर दिया है, और मैं तुम्हें सुंदर कपड़े पहनाऊंगा.”

5 And I said: 'Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.' So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the angel of the LORD stood by.

तब मैंने कहा, “उसके सिर पर एक साफ पगड़ी रखो.” तब उन्होंने महापुरोहित यहोशू को एक साफ पगड़ी और साफ कपड़े पहनाए, और याहवेह का दूत उसके पास खड़ा था.

6 And the angel of the LORD forewarned Joshua, saying:

उसके बाद याहवेह के दूत ने यहोशू को यह आश्वासन दिया:

7 'Thus saith the LORD of hosts: If thou wilt walk in My ways, and if thou wilt keep My charge, and wilt also judge My house, and wilt also keep My courts, then I will give thee free access among these that stand by.

“सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का यह कहना है: ‘यदि तुम मेरी आज्ञाओं को मानोगे और मेरी विधियों पर चलोगे, तो तुम मेरे भवन पर शासन करोगे और मेरे आंगनों पर तुम्हारा अधिकार होगा, और मैं तुम्हें इन लोगों के बीच में जगह दूंगा जो यहां खड़े हैं.

8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign; for, behold, I will bring forth My servant the Shoot.

“‘हे महापुरोहित यहोशू, तुम और तुम्हारे सामने बैठे हुए तुम्हारे सहकर्मी, तुम सब जो आनेवाली चीज़ों के प्रतीक मात्र हो, सुन तो लो: मैं अपने सेवक, शाखा को लानेवाला हूं.

9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone are seven facets; behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts: And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

उस पत्थर को देखो, जिसे मैंने यहोशू के सामने रखा है! उस एक ही पत्थर में सात नेत्र हैं, और मैं उस पर एक लेख उकेरूंगा,’ सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का कहना है, ‘और मैं एक ही दिन में इस देश के पाप को हटा दूंगा.

10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig-tree.

“‘उस दिन, तुममें से हर एक अपने पड़ोसी को अंगूर और अंजीर पेड़ के नीचे संगति करने के लिए आमंत्रित करेगा.’ सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह की यह घोषणा है.”
