Psalms 32
1 A Psalm of David. Maschil. Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is pardoned.
De David. — Pieuse méditation. Heureux celui dont la transgression a été remise, dont le péché est pardonné!
2 Happy is the man unto whom the LORD counteth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
Heureux l'homme à qui Yahweh n'impute pas l'iniquité, et dans l'esprit duquel il n'y a point de fraude!
3 When I kept silence, my bones wore away through my groaning all the day long.
Tant que je me suis tu, mes os se consumaient dans mon gémissement, chaque jour.
4 For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my sap was turned as in the droughts of summer. (Selah)
Car jour et nuit ta main s'appesantissait sur moi; la sève de ma vie se desséchait aux ardeurs de l'été. — Séla.
5 I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid; I said: 'I will make confession concerning my transgressions unto the LORD' — and Thou, Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
Je t'ai fait connaître mon péché, je n'ai point caché mon iniquité; j'ai dit: " Je veux confesser à Yahweh mes transgressions " et toi, tu as remis l'iniquité de mon péché. — Séla.
6 For this let every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely, when the great waters overflow, they will not reach unto him.
Que tout homme pieux te prie donc au temps favorable! Non! quand les grandes eaux déborderont, elles ne l'atteindront point.
7 Thou art my hiding-place; Thou wilt preserve me from the adversary; with songs of deliverance Thou wilt compass me about. (Selah)
Tu es mon asile, tu me préserveras de la détresse; tu m'entoureras de chants de délivrance. — Séla.
8 'I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will give counsel, Mine eye being upon thee.'
— " Je t'instruirai et te montrerai la voie que tu dois suivre; je serai ton conseiller, mon œil sera sur toi. " —
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, that they come not near unto thee.
Ne soyez pas comme le cheval ou le mulet sans intelligence; il faut les gouverner avec le mors et le frein, autrement, ils n'obéissent pas.
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked; but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy compasseth him about.
De nombreuses douleurs sont la part du méchant, mais celui qui se confie en Yahweh est environné de sa grâce.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Justes, réjouissez-vous en Yahweh et soyez dans l'allégresse! Poussez des cris de joie, vous tous qui avez le cœur droit!
