Psalms 26

1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

De David. Rends-moi justice, Yahweh, car j'ai marché dans mon innocence; je me confie en Yahweh, je ne chancellerai pas.

2 Examine me, O LORD, and try me; test my reins and my heart.

Eprouve-moi, Yahweh, sonde-moi, fais passer au creuset mes reins et mon cœur:

3 For Thy mercy is before mine eyes; and I have walked in Thy truth.

car ta miséricorde est devant mes yeux, et je marche dans ta vérité.

4 I have not sat with men of falsehood; neither will I go in with dissemblers.

Je ne me suis pas assis avec les hommes de mensonge, je ne vais pas avec les hommes dissimulés;

5 I hate the gathering of evil doers, and will not sit with the wicked.

Je hais l'assemblée de ceux qui font le mal, je ne siège pas avec les méchants.

6 I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass Thine altar, O LORD,

Je lave mes mains dans l'innocence, et j'entoure ton autel, Yahweh,

7 That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all Thy wondrous works.

pour faire entendre une voix de louange; et raconter toutes tes merveilles.

8 LORD, I love the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thy glory dwelleth.

Yahweh, j'aime le séjour de ta maison, le lieu où ta gloire réside.

9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood;

N'enlève pas mon âme avec celle des pécheurs, ma vie avec celle des hommes de sang,

10 In whose hands is craftiness, and their right hand is full of bribes.

qui ont le crime dans les mains, et dont la droite est pleine de présents.

11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity; redeem me, and be gracious unto me.

Pour moi, je marche en mon innocence: délivre-moi et aie pitié de moi!

12 My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

Mon pied se tient sur un sol uni: je bénirai Yahweh dans les assemblées.
