Psalms 127

1 A Song of Ascents; of Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಗೀತೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವವರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಯದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

2 It is vain for you that ye rise early, and sit up late, ye that eat the bread of toil; so He giveth unto His beloved in sleep.

ನೀವು ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮೆಪಟ್ಟು, ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇಗ ಏಳುವುದೂ, ರಾತ್ರಿ ತಡವಾಗಿ ಮಲಗುವುದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ, ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward.

ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸೊತ್ತು. ಗರ್ಭಫಲವು ದೇವರ ಬಹುಮಾನ.

4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of one's youth.

ಯೌವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಯುದ್ಧವೀರನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯ ಬಾಣಗಳಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; they shall not be put to shame, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬತ್ತಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು, ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾದಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡರು.
