Psalms 126

1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like unto them that dream.

Cantique des montées. Quand Yahweh ramena les captifs de Sion, ce fut pour nous comme un songe.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: 'The LORD hath done great things with these.'

Alors notre bouche fit entendre des cris joyeux, notre langue, des chants d'allégresse. Alors on répéta parmi les nations: « Yahweh a fait pour eux de grandes choses. »

3 The LORD hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced.

Oui, Yahweh a fait pour nous de grandes choses; nous sommes dans la joie.

4 Turn our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the dry land.

Yahweh, ramène nos captifs, comme tu fais couler les torrents dans le Négéb.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes, moissonneront dans l'allégresse.

6 Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.

Ils vont, ils vont en pleurant, portant et jetant la semence; ils reviendront avec des cris de joie, portant les gerbes de leur moisson.
