Psalms 107

1 BOOK V 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'

യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്‌വിൻ, അവിടന്ന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 So let the redeemed of the LORD say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;

യഹോവയാൽ വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ, അവിടന്ന് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് വീണ്ടെടുത്തവർ,

3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.

കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും അവിടന്ന് കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തവരായ ജനം ഇപ്രകാരം പറയട്ടെ:

4 They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.

അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വിജനപാതയിൽ അലഞ്ഞുനടന്നു, വാസയോഗ്യമായ പട്ടണമൊന്നും അവർ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.

5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

അവർ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും അലഞ്ഞു, അവരുടെ ജീവൻ ചോർന്നുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.

അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

7 And He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

അവർക്കു വാസയോഗ്യമായ ഒരു നഗരത്തിലേക്ക് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നേർപാതയിലൂടെ നയിച്ചു.

8 Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ,

9 For He hath satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He hath filled with good.

കാരണം അവിടന്ന് ദാഹിക്കുന്നവരെ തൃപ്തരാക്കുകയും വിശക്കുന്നവരെ വിശിഷ്ടഭോജ്യങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു നിറയ്ക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

10 Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron —

ചിലർ ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലകളാൽ ബന്ധിതരായി കഷ്ടമനുഭവിച്ചു, കൂരിരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ജീവിച്ചു.

11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High.

കാരണം അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൽപ്പനകൾ തിരസ്കരിച്ചു അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനകൾ നിരസിച്ചു.

12 Therefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help —

അതിനാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തിന് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ തളർന്നുവീണു, സഹായിക്കാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

13 They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.

അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്ന്, അതേ, ഘോരാന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്നുതന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ചങ്ങലകളെ അവിടന്നു പൊട്ടിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു.

15 Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ,

16 For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

കാരണം, അവിടന്ന് വെങ്കലക്കവാടങ്ങളെ തകർക്കുകയും ഇരുമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ വെട്ടിമുറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17 Crazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities —

ചിലർ തങ്ങളുടെ ധിക്കാരംനിമിത്തം ഭോഷരായിത്തീർന്നു അവരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാൽ ദുരിതമനുഭവിച്ചു.

18 Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death —

എല്ലാത്തരം ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും അവർക്ക് വിരക്തിതോന്നി, മരണകവാടത്തോട് അവർ സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.

19 They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses;

അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

20 He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.

അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ച് അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കി; ശവക്കുഴികളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചു.

21 Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

22 And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing.

അവർ അവിടത്തേക്ക് സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ആനന്ദഗീതങ്ങളാൽ വർണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters —

ചിലർ മഹാസമുദ്രത്തിലെ വ്യാപാരികളായി; കടലിലൂടെയവർ കപ്പൽയാത്രചെയ്തു.

24 These saw the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep;

അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു, ആഴിയിൽ അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ.

25 For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof;

അവിടന്ന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു; ഒരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് ആഞ്ഞുവീശി, തിരമാലകൾ ഉയർന്നുപൊങ്ങി.

26 They mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble;

അവ ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർന്ന് ആഴങ്ങളിലേക്ക് താഴ്ന്നമർന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുരിതങ്ങളിൽ അവരുടെ ധൈര്യം ചോർന്നൊലിച്ചു.

27 They reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up —

അവർ മദോന്മത്തരെപ്പോലെ ചാഞ്ചാടി ആടിയുലഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവരുടെ അറിവിന്റെ അന്ത്യത്തിലെത്തി.

28 They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.

അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

29 He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still.

അവിടന്ന് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; സമുദ്രത്തിലെ തിരമാലകൾ അമർന്നു.

30 Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven.

അത് ശാന്തമായപ്പോൾ അവർ ആനന്ദിച്ചു, അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തേക്ക് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നയിച്ചു.

31 Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

32 Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders.

ജനങ്ങളുടെ സഭയിൽ അവർ അവിടത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തട്ടെ സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;

ദേശവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തം അവിടന്ന് നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും

34 A fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

അരുവികളെ ദാഹാർത്തഭൂമിയും ഫലഭൂയിഷ്ഠമായ ഇടത്തെ ഓരുനിലവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

35 He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.

അവിടന്ന് മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലാശയങ്ങളായും വരണ്ടനിലത്തെ നീർച്ചാലുകളായും മാറ്റുന്നു;

36 And there He maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;

അവിടന്ന് അവിടെ വിശക്കുന്നവരെ കുടിപാർപ്പിക്കുന്നു, അവർക്കു വാസയോഗ്യമായ ഒരു പട്ടണം അവർ പണിതുയർത്തുന്നു.

37 And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase.

അവർ നിലങ്ങൾ വിതച്ചു മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുകൾ നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചു അതിൽനിന്ന് അവർക്കു വിളസമൃദ്ധിയും ലഭിച്ചു;

38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു, അവർ എണ്ണത്തിൽ അത്യധികം പെരുകി, അവരുടെ കാലിസമ്പത്ത് കുറയുന്നതിന് അവിടന്ന് അനുവദിച്ചതുമില്ല.

39 Again, they are minished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow.

പീഡനം, ആപത്ത്, ദുഃഖം എന്നിവയാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി, അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു;

40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ നിന്ദാപാത്രങ്ങളാക്കി മാറ്റുന്ന യഹോവ ഗതിയില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലൂടെ അലയുന്നതിന് അവരെ ഇടയാക്കി.

41 Yet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock.

എന്നാൽ അശരണരെ അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽനിന്ന് ഉദ്ധരിച്ചു അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റം എന്നതുപോലെ വർധിപ്പിച്ചു.

42 The upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

ഹൃദയപരമാർഥികൾ അതുകണ്ട് ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടരെല്ലാം മൗനം അവലംബിക്കുന്നു.

43 Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the mercies of the LORD.

ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവർ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ സശ്രദ്ധം മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയും യഹോവയുടെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
