Proverbs 5
1 My son, attend unto my wisdom; incline thine ear to my understanding;
Meu filho, preste atenção à minha sabedoria. Fique atento ao meu entendimento,
2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
that você pode manter discrição, que seus lábios possam preservar o conhecimento.
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
Para os lábios de uma adúltera pingar mel. Sua boca é mais macia que o óleo,
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
but no final, ela é tão amarga quanto o absinto, e tão afiada como uma espada de dois gumes.
Seus pés descem até a morte. Seus passos levam diretamente ao Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
6 Lest she should walk the even path of life, her ways wander, but she knoweth it not.
Ela não dá atenção ao modo de vida. Seus caminhos são tortos, e ela não sabe disso.
7 Now therefore, O ye children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Agora, portanto, meus filhos, escutem-me. Não se afaste das palavras da minha boca.
8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house;
Remova seu caminho para longe dela. Não chegue perto da porta de sua casa,
9 Lest thou give thy vigour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;
para que você não dê sua honra a outros, e seus anos para o cruel;
10 Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in the house of an alien;
para que os estranhos não se banqueteiem com sua riqueza, e seu trabalho enriquece a casa de outro homem.
11 And thou moan, when thine end cometh, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
Você gemerá no seu último final, quando sua carne e seu corpo são consumidos,
12 And say: 'How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
e dizer: “Como eu tenho odiado instruções, e meu coração desprezava a repreensão.
13 Neither have I hearkened to the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
Eu não obedeci à voz de meus professores, nem virei meus ouvidos para aqueles que me instruíram!
14 I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.'
Cheguei à beira da ruína total, entre a assembléia reunida”.
15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
Beba água de sua própria cisterna, água corrente fora do seu próprio poço.
16 Let thy springs be dispersed abroad, and courses of water in the streets.
Should suas molas transbordam nas ruas, riachos de água nas praças públicas?
17 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
Deixe-os ser apenas para você, não para estranhos com você.
18 Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.
Deixe sua primavera ser abençoada. Alegre-se com a esposa de sua juventude.
19 A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; with her love be thou ravished always.
Uma corça amorosa e um cervo gracioso... deixe seus seios te satisfazerem o tempo todo. Ser cativado sempre com seu amor.
20 Why then wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of an alien?
Por que você, meu filho, deveria ser cativado por uma adúltera? Por que abraçar o seio de outro?
21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He maketh even all his paths.
Pois os caminhos do homem estão diante dos olhos de Yahweh. Ele examina todos os seus caminhos.
22 His own iniquities shall ensnare the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
As más ações dos malvados o ludibriaram. As cordas de seu pecado o seguram com firmeza.
23 He shall die for lack of instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall reel.
Ele morrerá por falta de instrução. Na grandeza de sua insensatez, ele se desviará.
