Joshua 16
1 And the lot for the children of Joseph went out from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to the wilderness, even to Beth-el.
੧ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਰਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਕੋਲ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਤੋਂ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਦੀ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਤੱਕ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 And it went out from Beth-el-luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth.
੨ਫਿਰ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਲੂਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਅਟਾਰੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਗਈ।
3 And it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.
੩ਫਿਰ ਲਹਿੰਦੇ ਵੱਲ ਯਫਲੇਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਬੈਤ-ਹੋਰੋਨ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਅਤੇ ਗਜ਼ਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਫੈਲਾਓ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੱਕ ਸੀ।
4 And the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
੪ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਹ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਲੈ ਲਈ।
5 And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus; even the border of their inheritance eastward was Atroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper.
੫ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਟਾਰੋਥ ਅੱਦਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਬੈਤ-ਹੋਰੋਨ ਤੱਕ ਸੀ।
6 And the border went out westward, Mich-methath being on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.
੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੱਦ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵੱਲ ਮਿਕਮਥਾਥ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਤਅਨਥ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਨੋਹਾਹ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੀ।
7 And it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
੭ਅਤੇ ਯਾਨੋਹਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਅਟਾਰੋਥ ਅਤੇ ਨਆਰਾਥ ਵੱਲ ਉਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਈ।
8 From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
੮ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੱਦ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਪੂਆਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਨਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫੈਲਾਓ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੱਕ ਸੀ। ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਸੀ।
9 together with the cities which were separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
੯ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਲਈ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ।
10 And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in the midst of Ephraim, unto this day, and became servants to do taskwork.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਨਾ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਸਨ।
