Job 37

1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.

۱ «از این نیز دل می‌لرزد و از جای خودمتحرک می‌گردد.

2 Hear attentively the noise of His voice, and the sound that goeth out of His mouth.

۲ گوش داده، صدای آواز او را بشنوید، و زمزمه‌ای را که از دهان وی صادر می‌شود،

3 He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and His lightning unto the ends of the earth.

۳ آن را در زیر تمامی آسمانهامی فرستد، و برق خویش را تا کرانهای زمین.

4 After it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of His majesty; and He stayeth them not when His voice is heard.

۴ بعد از آن صدای غرش می‌کند و به آواز جلال خویش رعد می‌دهد و چون آوازش شنیده شدآنها را تاخیر نمی نماید.

5 God thundereth marvellously with His voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend.

۵ خدا از آواز خودرعدهای عجیب می‌دهد. اعمال عظیمی که ماآنها را ادراک نمی کنیم به عمل می‌آورد،

6 For He saith to the snow: 'Fall thou on the earth'; likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of His mighty rain.

۶ زیرابرف را می‌گوید: بر زمین بیفت. و همچنین بارش باران را و بارش بارانهای زورآور خویش را.

7 He sealeth up the hand of every man, that all men whom He hath made may know it.

۷ دست هر انسان را مختوم می‌سازد تا جمیع مردمان اعمال او را بدانند.

8 Then the beasts go into coverts, and remain in their dens.

۸ آنگاه وحوش به ماوای خود می‌روند و در بیشه های خویش آرام می‌گیرند.

9 Out of the Chamber cometh the storm; and cold out of the north.

۹ از برجهای جنوب گردباد می‌آید و ازبرجهای شمال برودت.

10 By the breath of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

۱۰ از نفخه خدا یخ بسته می‌شود و سطح آبها منجمد می‌گردد.

11 Yea, He ladeth the thick cloud with moister, He spreadeth abroad the cloud of His lightning;

۱۱ ابرها رانیز به رطوبت سنگین می‌سازد و سحاب، برق خود را پراکنده می‌کند.

12 And they are turned round about by His guidance, that they may do whatsoever He commandeth them upon the face of the habitable world:

۱۲ و آنها به دلالت او به هر سو منقلب می‌شوند تا هرآنچه به آنها امرفرماید بر روی تمامی ربع مسکون به عمل آورند.

13 Whether it be for correction, or for His earth, or for mercy, that He cause it to come.

۱۳ خواه آنها را برای تادیب بفرستد یا به جهت زمین خود یا برای رحمت.

14 Hearken unto this, O Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

۱۴ «ای ایوب این را استماع نما. بایست و دراعمال عجیب خدا تامل کن.

15 Dost thou know how God enjoineth them, and causeth the lightning of His cloud to shine?

۱۵ آیا مطلع هستی وقتی که خدا عزم خود را به آنها قرار می‌دهد وبرق، ابرهای خود را درخشان می‌سازد؟

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?

۱۶ آیا تواز موازنه ابرها مطلع هستی؟ یا از اعمال عجیبه اوکه در علم، کامل است.

17 Thou whose garments are warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind;

۱۷ که چگونه رختهای توگرم می‌شود هنگامی که زمین از باد جنوبی ساکن می‌گردد.

18 Canst thou with Him spread out the sky, which is strong as a molten mirror?

۱۸ آیا مثل او می‌توانی فلک رابگسترانی که مانند آینه ریخته شده مستحکم است؟

19 Teach us what we shall say unto Him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

۱۹ ما را تعلیم بده که با وی چه توانیم گفت، زیرا به‌سبب تاریکی سخن نیکو نتوانیم آورد.

20 Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?

۲۰ آیا چون سخن گویم به او خبر داده می‌شود یاانسان سخن گوید تا هلاک گردد.

21 And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

۲۱ و حال آفتاب را نمی توان دید هرچند در سپهر درخشان باشد تاباد وزیده آن را پاک کند.

22 Out of the north cometh golden splendour, about God is terrible majesty.

۲۲ درخشندگی طلایی از شمال می‌آید و نزد خدا جلال مهیب است.

23 The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is excellent in power, yet to judgment and plenteous justice He doeth no violence.

۲۳ قادر مطلق را ادراک نمی توانیم کرد، او در قوت وراستی عظیم است و در عدالت کبیر که بی‌انصافی نخواهد کرد.

24 Men do therefore fear Him; He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.

۲۴ لهذا مردمان از او می‌ترسند، امااو بر جمیع دانادلان نمی نگرد.»
