Ezekiel 25
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
2 'Son of man, set thy face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them;
「人の子よ、あなたの顔をアンモンの人々に向け、これに向かって預言し、
3 and say unto the children of Ammon: Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou saidst: Aha! against My sanctuary, when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate, and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
アンモンの人々に言え。主なる神の言葉を聞け。主なる神はこう言われる、あなたはわが聖所の汚された時、またイスラエルの地の荒された時、またユダの家が捕え移された時、ああ、それはよい気味であると言った。
4 therefore, behold, I will deliver thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
それゆえ、わたしはあなたを、東の人々に渡して彼らの所有とする。彼らはあなたのうちに陣営を設け、あなたのうちに住居を造り、あなたのくだものを食べ、あなたの乳を飲む。
5 And I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
わたしはラバを、らくだを飼う所とし、アンモンびとの町々を、羊の伏す所とする。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを知るようになる。
6 For thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the disdain of thy soul against the land of Israel;
主なる神はこう言われる、あなたはイスラエルの地に向かって手をうち、足を踏み、心に悪意を満たして喜んだ。
7 therefore, behold, I stretch out My hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries; I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
それゆえ、見よ、わたしはわが手をあなたに向けて伸べ、あなたを、もろもろの国民に渡して略奪にあわせ、あなたを、もろもろの民の中から断ち、諸国の中から滅ぼし絶やす。そしてあなたは、わたしが主であることを知るようになる。
8 Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because that Moab and Seir do say: Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations,
主なる神はわたしにこう言われる、モアブは言った、見よ、ユダの家は、他のすべての国民と同様であると。
9 therefore, behold, I will open the flank of Moab on the side of the cities, on the side of his cities which are on his frontiers, the beauteous country of Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,
それゆえ、わたしはモアブの境界の町々、すなわち国の栄えであるベテエシモテ、バアルメオン、キリアタイムの横腹を開き、
10 together with the children of Ammon, unto the children of the east, and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations;
これをアンモンの人々と共に、東方の人々に与えて、その所有とし、モアブの人々をもろもろの国民の中に記憶させない。
11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
わたしはモアブの上にさばきを行う。そのとき、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。
12 Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
主なる神はこう言われる、エドムは恨みをふくんでユダの家に敵対し、これに恨みを返して、はなはだしく罪を犯した。
13 therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: I will stretch out My hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman, even unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.
それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、わたしはエドムの上に手を伸べて、その中から人と獣とを断ち、これを荒れ地とする。テマンからデダンまで人々はつるぎに倒れる。
14 And I will lay My vengeance upon Edom by the hand of My people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to Mine anger and according to My fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
わたしはわが民イスラエルの手をもって、エドムにわがあだを報いる。彼らがわが怒り、わが憤りに従ってエドムに行う時、エドムの人々は、わたしがあだを返すことを知るようになると、主なる神は言われる。
15 Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with disdain of soul to destroy, for the old hatred;
主なる神はこう言われる、ペリシテびとは恨みをふくんで行動し、心に悪意をもってあだを返し、深い敵意をもって、滅ぼすことをした。
16 therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will stretch out My hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea-coast.
それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしは手をペリシテびとの上に伸べ、ケレテびとを断ち、海べの残りの者を滅ぼす。
17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay My vengeance upon them.'
わたしは怒りに満ちた懲罰をもって、大いなる復讐を彼らになす。わたしが彼らにあだを返す時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる」。
