2 Samuel 13
1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
Und es begab sich danach, daß Absalom, der Sohn Davids, hatte eine schöne Schwester, die hieß Thamar; und Amnon, der Sohn Davids, gewann sie lieb.
2 And Amnon was so distressed that he fell sick because of his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and it seemed hard to Amnon to do any thing unto her.
Und Amnon stellete sich krank um Thamars, seiner Schwester, willen. Denn sie war eine Jungfrau, und deuchte Amnon schwer sein, daß er ihr etwas sollte tun.
3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother; and Jonadab was a very subtle man.
Amnon aber hatte einen Freund, der hieß Jonadab, ein Sohn Simeas, Davids Bruders; und derselbe Jonadab war ein sehr weiser Mann.
4 And he said unto him: 'Why, O son of the king, art thou thus becoming leaner from day to day? wilt thou not tell me?' And Amnon said unto him: 'I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.'
Der sprach zu ihm: Warum wirst du so mager, du Königssohn, von Tage zu Tage? Magst du mir's nicht ansagen? Da sprach Amnon zu ihm: Ich habe Thamar, meines Bruders Absalom Schwester, lieb gewonnen.
5 And Jonadab said unto him: 'Lay thee down on thy bed, and feign thyself sick; and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him: Let my sister Tamar come, I pray thee, and give me bread to eat, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.'
Jonadab sprach zu ihm: Lege dich auf dein Bett und mache dich krank. Wenn dann dein Vater kommt, dich zu besehen, so sprich zu ihm: Lieber, laß meine Schwester Thamar kommen, daß sie mich ätze und mache vor mir ein Essen, daß ich zusehe und von ihrer Hand esse.
6 So Amnon lay down, and feigned himself sick; and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king: 'Let my sister Tamar come, I pray thee, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.'
Also legte sich Amnon und machte sich krank. Da nun der König kam, ihn zu besehen, sprach Amnon zum Könige: Lieber, laß meine Schwester Thamar kommen, daß sie vor mir ein Gemüse oder zwei mache, und ich von ihrer Hand esse.
7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying: 'Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him food.'
Da sandte David nach Thamar ins Haus und ließ ihr sagen: Gehe hin in das Haus deines Bruders Amnon und mache ihm eine Speise.
8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was lying down. And she took dough, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
Thamar ging hin ins Haus ihres Bruders Amnon; er aber lag zu Bette. Und sie nahm einen Teig und knetete und sott es vor seinen Augen und kochte ihm ein Gemüse.
9 And she took the pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said: 'Have out all men from me.' And they went out every man from him.
Und sie nahm das Gericht und schüttete es vor ihm aus; aber er weigerte sich zu essen. Und Amnon sprach: Laßt jedermann von mir hinausgehen! Und es ging jedermann von ihm hinaus.
10 And Amnon said unto Tamar: 'Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat of thy hand.' And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
Da sprach Amnon zu Thamar: Bringe das Essen in die Kammer, daß ich von deiner Hand esse. Da nahm Thamar das Gemüse, das sie gemacht hatte, und brachte es zu Amnon, ihrem Bruder, in die Kammer.
11 And when she had brought them near unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her: 'Come lie with me, my sister.'
Und da sie es zu ihm brachte, daß er äße, ergriff er sie und sprach zu ihr: Komm her, meine Schwester, schlaf bei mir!
12 And she answered him: 'Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel; do not thou this wanton deed.
Sie aber sprach zu ihm: Nicht, mein Bruder, schwäche mich nicht, denn so tut man nicht in Israel; tu nicht eine solche Torheit!
13 And I, whither shall I carry my shame? and as for thee, thou wilt be as one of the base men in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.'
Wo will ich mit meiner Schande hin? Und du wirst sein wie die Toren in Israel. Rede aber mit dem Könige, der wird mich dir nicht versagen.
14 Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her, and lay with her.
Aber er wollte ihr nicht gehorchen und überwältigte sie und schwächte sie und schlief bei ihr.
15 Then Amnon hated her with exceeding great hatred; for the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her: 'Arise, be gone.'
Und Amnon ward ihr überaus gram, daß der Haß größer war, denn vorhin die Liebe war. Und Amnon sprach zu ihr: Mache dich auf und hebe dich!
16 And she said unto him: 'Not so, because this great wrong in putting me forth is worse than the other that thou didst unto me.' But he would not hearken unto her.
Sie aber sprach zu ihm: Das Übel ist größer denn das andere, das du an mir getan hast, daß du mich ausstößest. Aber er gehorchte ihrer Stimme nicht,
17 Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said: 'Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.' —
sondern rief seinem Knaben, der sein Diener war, und sprach: Treib diese von mir hinaus und schleuß die Tür hinter ihr zu.
18 Now she had a garment of many colours upon her; for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. — And his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
Und sie hatte einen bunten Rock an; denn solche Röcke trugen des Königs Töchter, weil sie Jungfrauen waren. Und da sie sein Diener hinausgetrieben und die Tür hinter ihr zugeschlossen hatte,
19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of many colours that was on her; and she laid her hand on her head, and went her way, crying aloud as she went.
warf Thamar Asche auf ihr Haupt und zerriß den bunten Rock, den sie anhatte, und legte ihre Hand auf das Haupt und ging daher und schrie.
20 And Absalom her brother said unto her: 'Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but now hold thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; take not this thing to heart.' So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
Und ihr Bruder Absalom sprach zu ihr: Ist dein Bruder Amnon bei dir gewesen? Nun, meine Schwester, schweig stille, es ist dein Bruder, und nimm die Sache nicht so zu Herzen. Also blieb Thamar ledig in Absaloms, ihres Bruders, Hause.
21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.
Und da der König David solches alles hörete, ward er sehr zornig. Aber Absalom redete nicht mit Amnon, weder Böses noch Gutes.
22 And Absalom spoke unto Amnon neither good nor bad; for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
Aber Absalom ward Amnon gram, darum daß er seine Schwester Thamar geschwächt hatte.
23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep-shearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim; and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
Über zwei Jahre aber hatte Absalom Schafscherer zu Baal-Hazor, die unter Ephraim liegt; und Absalom lud alle Kinder des Königs.
24 And Absalom came to the king, and said: 'Behold now, thy servant hath sheep-shearers; let the king, I pray thee, and his servants go with thy servant.'
Und kam zum Könige und sprach: Siehe, dein Knecht hat Schafscherer; der König wolle samt seinen Knechten mit seinem Knechte gehen.
25 And the king said to Absalom: 'Nay, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome unto thee.' And he pressed him; howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.
Der König aber sprach zu Absalom: Nicht, mein Sohn, laß uns nicht alle gehen, daß wir dich nicht beschweren. Und da er ihn nötigte, wollte er doch nicht gehen, sondern segnete ihn.
26 Then said Absalom: 'If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us.' And the king said unto him: 'Why should he go with thee?'
Absalom sprach: Soll denn nicht mein Bruder Amnon mit uns gehen? Der König sprach zu ihm: Warum soll er mit dir gehen?
27 But Absalom pressed him, and he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
Da nötigte ihn Absalom, daß er mit ihm ließ Amnon und alle Kinder des Königs.
28 And Absalom commanded his servants, saying: 'Mark ye now, when Amnon's heart is merry with wine; and when I say unto you: Smite Amnon, then kill him, fear not; have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.'
Absalom aber gebot seinen Knaben und sprach: Sehet drauf, wenn Amnon guter Dinge wird von dem Wein, und ich zu euch spreche: Schlaget Amnon und tötet ihn, daß ihr euch nicht fürchtet, denn ich hab's euch geheißen; seid getrost und frisch dran!
29 And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man got him up upon his mule, and fled.
Also taten die Knaben Absaloms dem Amnon, wie ihnen Absalom geboten hatte. Da stunden alle Kinder des Königs auf, und ein jeglicher saß auf sein Maul und flohen.
30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that the tidings came to David, saying: 'Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.'
Und da sie noch auf dem Wege waren, kam das Gerücht vor David, daß Absalom hätte alle Kinder des Königs erschlagen, daß nicht einer von ihnen übrig wäre.
31 Then the king arose, and rent his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
Da stund der König auf und zerriß seine Kleider und legte sich auf die Erde; und alle seine Knechte, die um ihn her stunden, zerrissen ihre Kleider.
32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said: 'Let not my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
Da antwortete Jonadab, der Sohn Simeas, des Bruders Davids, und sprach: Mein HERR denke nicht, daß alle Knaben, die Kinder des Königs, tot sind, sondern Amnon ist allein tot. Denn Absalom hat es bei sich behalten von dem Tage an, da er seine Schwester Thamar schwächte.
33 Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead; for Amnon only is dead.'
So nehme nun mein HERR, der König, solches nicht zu Herzen, daß alle Kinder des Königs tot seien, sondern Amnon ist allein tot.
34 But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people in a roundabout way by the hill-side.
Absalom aber floh. Und der Knabe auf der Warte hub seine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, ein groß Volk kam auf dem Wege nacheinander an der Seite des Berges.
35 And Jonadab said unto the king: 'Behold, the king's sons are come; as thy servant said, so it is.'
Da sprach Jonadab zum Könige: Siehe, die Kinder des Königs kommen; wie dein Knecht gesagt hat, so ist's ergangen.
36 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice, and wept; and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
Und da er hatte ausgeredet, siehe, da kamen die Kinder des Königs und huben ihre Stimme auf und weineten. Der König und alle seine Knechte weineten auch fast sehr.
37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
Absalom aber floh und zog zu Thalmai, dem Sohn Ammihuds, dem Könige zu Gesur. Er aber trug Leid über seinen Sohn alle Tage.
38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
Da aber Absalom floh und gen Gesur zog, war er daselbst drei Jahre.
39 And the soul of king David failed with longing for Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
Und der König David hörete auf, auszuziehen wider Absalom; denn er hatte sich getröstet über Amnon, daß er tot war.
