2 Kings 16
1 In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
௧ரெமலியாவின் மகனாகிய பெக்காவின் பதினேழாம் வருட ஆட்சியில் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோதாமின் மகன் ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவானான்.
2 Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not that which was right in the eyes of the LORD his God, like David his father.
௨ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபது வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறுவருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; அவன் தன் முற்பிதாவாகிய தாவீதைப்போல் தன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்யாமல்,
3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
௩இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழியிலே நடந்து, யெகோவா இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின மக்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே தன் மகன் முதற்கொண்டு அக்கினியில் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.
4 And he sacrificed and offered in the high places, and on the hills, and under every leafy tree.
௪மேடைகளிலும் மலைகளின்மேலும் பச்சையான சகல மரத்தின் கீழும் பலியிட்டுத் தூபம் காட்டிவந்தான்.
5 Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
௫அப்பொழுது சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்காவும், எருசலேமின்மேல் போர்செய்யவந்து ஆகாசை முற்றுகையிட்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் வெற்றிபெற முடியவில்லை.
6 At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath to Aram, and drove the Jews from Elath; and the Edomites came to Elath, and dwelt there, unto this day.
௬அக்காலத்திலே சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீன் ஏலாத்தைத் திரும்பச் சீரியாவோடே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு. யூதர்களை ஏலாத்திலிருந்து துரத்தினான்; சீரியர்கள் ஏலாத்திற்கு வந்து இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் அவ்விடத்திலே குடியிருக்கிறார்கள்.
7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying: 'I am thy servant and thy son; come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.'
௭ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடத்திற்கு பிரதிநிதிகளை அனுப்பி: நான் உம்முடைய அடியானும் உம்முடைய மகனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; நீர் வந்து, எனக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பின சீரியா ராஜாவின் கைக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவின் கைக்கும் என்னைத் தப்புவியும் என்று சொல்லச் சொல்லி;
8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.
௮யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலும் ராஜாவின் அரண்மனைப் பொக்கிஷங்களிலும் கிடைத்த வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் எடுத்து, அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவிற்குக் காணிக்கையாக அனுப்பினான்.
9 And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.
௯அசீரியா ராஜா அவனுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, தமஸ்குவுக்குப்போய் அதைப் பிடித்து, அதின் குடிமக்களைக் கீர் என்னும் பட்டணத்திற்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், ரேத்சீனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar that was at Damascus; and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
௧0அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய்த் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள பலிபீடத்தைக் கண்டான். ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தின் தோற்றத்தையும், அதினுடைய சகல வேலைப்பாடாகிய அதின் மாதிரியையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவுக்கு அனுப்பினான்.
11 And Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so did Urijah the priest make it against the coming of king Ahaz from Damascus.
௧௧ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து வருகிறதற்குள் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா அதைப்போலவே ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து அனுப்பின கட்டளையின்படியெல்லாம் செய்தான்.
12 And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar; and the king drew near unto the altar, and offered thereon.
௧௨ராஜா தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து வந்தபோது, அவன் அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தைப் பார்த்து, அந்தப் பலிபீடத்திற்கு அருகில் வந்து, அதின்மேல் பலியிட்டு,
13 And he offered his burnt-offering and his meal-offering, and poured his drink-offering, and dashed the blood of his peace-offerings against the altar.
௧௩தன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் தன் போஜனபலியையும் தகனித்து, தன் பானபலியை ஊற்றி, தன் சமாதானபலிகளின் இரத்தத்தை அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்தான்.
14 And the brazen altar, which was before the LORD, he brought from the forefront of the house, from between his altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of his altar.
௧௪யெகோவாவின் சந்நிதியிலிருந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடத்தை அவன் தன் பலிபீடத்திற்கும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்கும் நடுவே ஆலயத்தின் முன்புறத்திலிருந்து எடுத்து, அதைத் தன் பலிபீடத்திற்கு வடபுறமாக வைத்தான்.
15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying: 'Upon the great altar offer the morning burnt-offering, and the evening meal-offering, and the king's burnt-offering, and his meal-offering, with the burnt-offering of all the people of the land, and their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings; and dash against it all the blood of the burnt-offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice; but the brazen altar shall be for me to look to.'
௧௫ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெரிய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் நீ காலை சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், மாலை போஜனபலியையும், ராஜாவின் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், அவருடைய போஜனபலியையும், தேசத்தினுடைய சகல மக்களுடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலி, போஜனபலி, பானபலி ஆகியவற்றைச் செலுத்தி, அதின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும், பலிகளின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும் தெளிப்பாயாக; அந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடமோ, நான் உதவி கேட்கிறதற்கு உதவும் என்றான்.
16 Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.
௧௬ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா செய்தான்.
17 And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brazen oxen that were under it, and put it upon a pavement of stone.
௧௭பின்னும் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆதாரங்களின் பலகைகளை அகற்றிவிட்டு, அவைகளின் மேலிருந்த கொப்பரைகளை எடுத்து, கடல்தொட்டியைக் கீழே நிற்கிற வெண்கல காளைகளின்மேலிருந்து இறக்கி, அதைக் கற்களின் தளவரிசையிலே வைத்து,
18 And the covered place for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he unto the house of the LORD, because of the king of Assyria.
௧௮ஆலயத்தின் அருகே கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த ஓய்வுநாளின் மண்டபத்தையும், ராஜா பிரவேசிக்கும் மண்டபத்தையும், அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவினிமித்தம் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து அப்புறப்படுத்தினான்.
19 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
௧௯ஆகாஸ் செய்த மற்ற செயல்பாடுகள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
௨0ஆகாஸ் இறந்தபின், அவன் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் தன் முன்னோர்களுக்கு அருகில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவன் மகனாகிய எசேக்கியா அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
