1 Chronicles 24
1 And the courses of the sons of Aaron were these. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
Et quant aux fils d'Aaron, voici leurs classes. Fils d'Aaron: Nadab et Abiliu, Eléazar et Ithamar.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
Et Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, et ils n'avaient pas de fils, et Eléazar et Ithamar furent revêtus du sacerdoce.
3 And David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.
Et David les divisa ainsi, [d'un côté] Tsadoc d'entre les fils d'Eléazar, [de l'autre] Ahimélech d'entre les fils d'Ithamar, selon leur classement dans leur service.
4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers' houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers' houses, eight.
Et il se trouva dans les fils d'Eléazar plus de patriarches que dans les fils d'Ithamar, et division en fut faite; les fils d'Eléazar avaient seize chefs de maisons patriarcales, et les fils d'Ithamar, selon leurs maisons patriarcales, huit.
5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for they were princes of the sanctuary and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
Et la division se fit par le sort pour les uns comme pour les autres; car les primiciers du Sanctuaire, et les primiciers de Dieu étaient des fils d'Eléazar et des fils d'Ithamar.
6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites: one father's house being taken for Eleazar, and proportionately for Ithamar.
Et ils furent inscrits par Semaïa, fils de Nethaneël, scribe de la Tribu de Lévi, devant le roi, et les princes, et le Prêtre Tsadoc, et Abimélech, fils d'Abiathar, et les patriarches des Prêtres et des Lévites; chaque maison patriarcale fut tirée au sort pour Eléazar, et pour Ithamar il y eut double tirage.
7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah;
Et le premier bulletin sortit pour Jojarib; pour Jedaïa le second;
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim;
pour Harim le troisième; pour Seorim le quatrième;
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin;
pour Malchiia le cinquième; pour Mijamin le sixième;
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah;
pour Haccots le septième; pour Abia le huitième;
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah;
pour Jèsua le neuvième; pour Sechania le dixième;
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim;
pour Eliasib le onzième; pour Jakim le douzième;
13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab;
pour Huppa le treizième; pour Jésébeab le quatorzième;
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer;
pour Bilga le quinzième; pour Immer le seizième;
15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez;
pour Hezir le dix-septième; pour Happitsets le dix-huitième;
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel;
pour Pethaïa le dix-neuvième; pour Ihezkel le vingtième;
17 the one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul;
pour Jachin le vingt-unième; pour Gamul le vingt-deuxième;
18 the three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.
pour Delaïa le vingt-troisième; pour Maazia le vingt-quatrième.
19 These were the orderings of them in their service, to come into the house of the LORD according to the ordinance given unto them by the hand of Aaron their father, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
Telle est leur classification pour leur service, pour leur entrée dans le Temple de l'Éternel selon leur règle dressée par Aaron, leur père, selon l'ordre qu'il en avait reçu de l'Éternel, Dieu d'Israël.
20 And of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
Et quant aux fils de Lévi, voici les restants: des fils d'Amram: Subaël; des fils de Subaël: Jehdia;
21 Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.
de Rehabia, des fils de Rehabia: le chef Jissia;
22 Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
des Jitseharites: Selomoth; des fils de Selomoth: Jahath;
23 And Benai, Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
et les fils [d'Hébron: ] Jeria [le chef], Amaria, le second, Jaheziel, le troisième, Jecameam, le quatrième;
24 The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.
fils d'Uzziel: Micha; fils de Micha: Samir;
25 The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
le frère de Micha: Jissia; des fils de Jissia: Zacharie;
26 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah, his son,
fils de Merari: Machli et Musi, fils de Jaëzia, son fils.
27 even the sons of Merari through Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
Les fils de Merari, de Jaëzia son fils: Soham et Zaccur et Ibri;
28 Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
de Machli: Eléazar, lequel n'eut point de fils;
29 Of Kish: the sons of Kish, Jerahmeel.
de Kis, le fils de Kis: Jérahmeël;
30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.
et les fils de Musi: Machli et Eder et Jerimoth. Tels étaient les fils des Lévites selon leurs maisons patriarcales.
31 These likewise cast lots even as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers' houses of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
Et eux aussi ils tirèrent au sort comme leurs frères, les fils d'Aaron, devant le roi David et Tsadoc et Ahimélech et les patriarches des Prêtres et des Lévites, le patriarche aussi bien que son frère cadet.
