< 1 Corinthians 16 >

1 But concerning the contribution to the saints, as I commanded the churches of Galatia, so you also do.
Now concerning the offering for the saints, you also are to do as I directed the church of Galatia.
2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay by with himself treasuring up, that as to whatsoever he may be prospered, in order that there may be no collections at that time when I may come.
On the first day of each week let each of you put aside something, keeping it in store as he may prosper, so that when I come there may be no collections going on.
3 But when I may be present, whomsoever you may approve by your letters, these will I send to carry away your benefaction to Jerusalem:
On my arrival I will send those whom you may accredit by letter to carry your bounty to Jerusalem.
4 if it may be counted worthy for me also to go, they shall go along with me.
And if it is worth while for me to go too, they will accompany me.
5 But I will come to you when I may go through Macedonia; for I do go through Macedonia;
Now I shall come to you after I have gone through Macedonia.
6 and perhaps I may abide with you, and even spend the winter with you, in order that you may send me forward whithersoever I may go.
I shall remain some time with you; possibly spending the winter, in order that you may help me forward in whatever journey I take.
7 For I do not wish merely to see you in my journey; for I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord may permit.
For I do not wish at this present time to see you merely in passing; but if the Lord permits, I hope to remain some time with you.
8 But I shall abide in Ephesus until Pentecost;
I am staying for the present in Ephesus, until Pentecost;
9 for a door is opened unto me great and effectual, and there are many antagonizing.
for a door has opened to me, great and effectual, and the opponents are many.
10 But if Timothy may come, see that he may be with you without fear; for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I also:
If Timothy come, see to it that he is among you without trepidation; for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I am, so let no one disparage him.
11 therefore let no one snub him. But send him forth in peace, in order that he may come to me: for I await him with the brethren.
Whenever he comes to me, send him on his way in peace, for I am expecting him with the other brothers.
12 But concerning brother Apollos, I entreated him much, that he may come to you with the brethren: but it was not altogether his will that he may come now; but he will come when he may have opportunity.
As for our Apollos, I have many times urged him to go to you with the others, but he was always unwilling to go to you at this time. He will come, however, whenever he has a good opportunity.
13 Watch, stand in the faith, be men, be strong.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, be manly, be strong.
14 Let all your affairs be in divine love.
Let all that you do be done in love.
15 But I exhort you, brethren; (know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruit of Achaia, and they have set themselves to minister unto the saints),
I beg you this, my brothers - you know the household of Stephanus, that they were the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they devoted themselves to the service of the saints -
16 in order that you may indeed be in subjection unto such, and to every one laboring with you and toiling.
so I want you also to show deference to such, and to every fellow worker, and laborer.
17 But I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: because they have supplied your deficiency:
I am glad that Stephanus and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived, for they have made up for your absence.
18 for they refreshed my spirit and yours. Acknowledge ye therefore them that are such.
They refresh my spirit as they do yours. So cultivate the acquaintance of such men.
19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Prisca along with the church and their house salute you.
The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla (Prisca), with the church that meets in their house, greet you heartily in the Lord.
20 All the brethren salute you. Salute you one another with a holy kiss.
All the brothers send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
21 The salutation of me Paul with my own hand.
The greeting of me, Paul, with my own hand.
22 If any one loves not the Lord as a friend, let him be anathema Maran atha.
If any one does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord is coming.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
24 My love with you all in Christ Jesus.
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus.
