Zechariah 6
1 Againe, I turned and lift vp mine eyes, and looked: and beholde, there came foure charets out from betweene two mountaines, and the mountaines were mountaines of brasse.
Als ich dann abermals aufblickte und hinschaute, sah ich vier Wagen zwischen zwei Bergen hervorkommen; die Berge aber waren von Erz.
2 In the first charet were red horses, and in the second charet blacke horses,
Am ersten Wagen waren rotbraune Rosse, am zweiten Wagen schwarze Rosse,
3 And in the thirde charet white horses, and in the fourth charet, horses of diuers colours, and reddish.
am dritten Wagen weiße Rosse und am vierten Wagen scheckige Rosse.
4 Then I answered, and saide vnto the Angell that talked with mee, What are these, my Lord?
Als ich nun an den Engel, der mit mir redete, die Frage richtete: »Was haben diese da zu bedeuten, mein Herr?«,
5 And the Angell answered, and sayde vnto mee, These are the foure spirites of the heauen, which goe foorth from standing with the Lord of all the earth.
gab mir der Engel zur Antwort: »Das sind die vier Winde des Himmels, die ausfahren, nachdem sie sich dem Herrn der ganzen Erde vorgestellt haben.
6 That with the blacke horse went forth into the land of the North, and the white went out after them, and they of diuers colours went forth toward the South countrey.
Der Wagen mit den schwarzen Rossen geht nach dem Lande im Norden, und das weiße Gespann fährt nach dem Osten; die scheckigen Rosse fahren nach dem Lande im Süden;
7 And the reddish went out, and required to go, and passe through the world, and he sayde, Goe passe through the worlde. So they went thorowout the world.
und die rotbraunen ziehen nach dem Lande im Westen aus und beabsichtigen auf ihrer Fahrt die Erde zu durchstreifen.« Als er ihnen dann zugerufen hatte: »Auf! Durchstreift die Erde!«, zogen sie auf der Erde umher.
8 Then cryed hee vpon me, and spake vnto me, saying, Beholde, these that goe towarde the North countrey, haue pacified my spirit in the North countrey.
Dann rief er mir noch laut die Worte zu: »Wisse wohl: die, welche nach dem Lande im Norden ausgezogen sind, lassen meinen Geist im Lande des Nordens Ruhe finden.«
9 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Darauf erging das Wort des HERRN an mich folgendermaßen:
10 Take of them of ye captiuitie, euen of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and Iedaiah, which are come from Babel, and come thou the same day, and goe vnto the house of Ioshiah, the sonne of Zephaniah.
»Nimm von (dem Geschenk) der noch in der Verbannung Lebenden, von Heldai, von Tobija und Jedaja – und zwar gehe du selbst an dem betreffenden Tage hin und begib dich in das Haus Josijas, des Sohnes Zephanjas, wohin sie aus Babylon gekommen sind –,
11 Take euen siluer, and golde, and make crownes, and set them vpon the head of Iehoshua, the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest,
nimm also davon Silber und Gold und laß daraus eine Krone anfertigen; setze sie dem Hohenpriester Josua, dem Sohne Jozadaks, aufs Haupt
12 And speake vnto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, and sayth, Behold the man whose name is the Branch, and he shall growe vp out of his place, and he shall build the Temple of the Lord.
und richte dann an ihn folgende Worte: ›So hat der HERR der Heerscharen gesprochen: Siehe, da ist ein Mann, Sproß ist sein Name – denn unter seinen Füßen wird es sprossen –, der wird den Tempel des HERRN bauen.
13 Euen hee shall build the Temple of the Lord, and he shall beare the glory, and shall sit and rule vpon his throne, and he shalbe a Priest vpon his throne, and the counsell of peace shall be betweene them both.
Ja, er ist’s, der den Tempel des HERRN aufbauen und Herrlichkeit gewinnen wird, und er wird auf seinem Throne sitzen und herrschen und ein Priester wird an seinem Throne stehen, und ein friedliches Einvernehmen wird zwischen beiden bestehen.‹
14 And the crownes shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Iedaiah, and to Hen the sonne of Zephaniah, for a memoriall in the Temple of the Lord.
Die Krone aber soll für Heldai, Tobija und Jedaja sowie für Chen, den Sohn Zephanjas, als Andenken im Tempel des HERRN verbleiben.
15 And they that are farre off, shall come and build in the Temple of the Lord, and ye shall know, that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you. And this shall come to passe, if ye will obey the voyce of the Lord your God.
Und die in weiter Ferne Wohnenden werden kommen und am Tempel des HERRN bauen, und ihr werdet dann auch erkennen, daß der HERR der Heerscharen mich zu euch gesandt hat; und dies alles wird geschehen, wenn ihr der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes, willig gehorcht.«
