Zechariah 2

1 I lift vp mine eyes againe and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Alcé después mis ojos, y miré y he aquí un varón que tenía en su mano un cordel de medir.

2 Then saide I, Whither goest thou? And he saide vnto me, To measure Ierusalem, that I may see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

Y le dije: ¿ A dónde vas? Y él me respondió: A medir a Jerusalén, para ver cuánta es su anchura, y cuánta su longitud.

3 And beholde, the Angel that talked with me, went foorth: and another Angel went out to meete him,

Y he aquí, salía aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo, y otro ángel le salió al encuentro,

4 And saide vnto him, Runne, speake to this yong man, and say, Ierusalem shalbe inhabited without walles, for the multitude of men and cattell therein.

Y le dijo: Corre, habla a este joven, diciendo: Sin murallas será habitada Jerusalén a causa de la multitud de los hombres, y de las bestias en medio de ella.

5 For I, saith the Lord, will be vnto her a wall of fire round about, and wil be the glory in the middes of her.

Yo seré para ella, dice el SEÑOR, muro de fuego en derredor, y seré por gloria en medio de ella.

6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the North, saith the Lord: for I haue scattered you into the foure winds of the heauen, saith ye Lord.

Eh, eh, huid de la tierra del aquilón, dice el SEÑOR, porque por los cuatro vientos de los cielos os esparcí, dice el SEÑOR.

7 Saue thy selfe, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babel.

Oh Sion, la que moras con la hija de Babilonia, escápate.

8 For thus saith the Lord of hostes, After this glory hath hee sent me vnto the nations, which spoyled you: for he that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of his eye.

Porque así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Después de la gloria me enviará él a los gentiles que os despojaron; porque el que os toca, toca a la niña de su ojo.

9 For beholde, I will lift vp mine hand vpon them: and they shalbe a spoyle to those that serued them, and ye shall knowe, that the Lord of hostes hath sent me.

Porque he aquí yo alzo mi mano sobre ellos, y serán despojo a sus siervos, y sabréis que el SEÑOR de los ejércitos me envió.

10 Reioyce, and be glad, O daughter Zion: for loe, I come, and will dwell in the middes of thee, saith the Lord.

Canta y alégrate, hija de Sion; porque he aquí vengo, y moraré en medio de ti, dijo el SEÑOR.

11 And many nations shall be ioyned to the Lord in that day, and shalbe my people: and I will dwell in the middes of thee, and thou shalt knowe that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto thee.

Y se unirán muchos gentiles al SEÑOR en aquel día, y me serán por pueblo, y moraré en medio de ti; y entonces conocerás que el SEÑOR de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti.

12 And the Lord shall inherite Iudah his portion in the holy lande, and shall chuse Ierusalem againe.

Y el SEÑOR poseerá a Judá su heredad en la Tierra santa, y escogerá aún a Jerusalén.

13 Let all flesh be still before the Lord: for he is raised vp out of his holy place.

Calle toda carne delante del SEÑOR, porque él se ha despertado de su santa morada.
