< Titus 3 >

1 Pvt them in remembrance that they bee subiect to the Principalities and powers, and that they bee obedient, and ready to euery good woorke,
Fakamanatuʻi ʻakinautolu ke nau anganofo ki he ngaahi tuʻi mo e kau pule, ke nau talangofua ki he kau fakamaau, ke tali teu pe ki he ngaahi ngaue lelei kotoa pē;
2 That they speake euill of no man, that they be no fighters, but soft, shewing all meekenesse vnto all men.
Ke ʻoua naʻa lauʻikovi ha tokotaha, ʻoua naʻa fakakikihi, kae angavaivai, ʻo fakahā ʻae angamalū kotoa pē ki he kakai kotoa pē.
3 For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:
He ko kitautolu foki naʻa tau vale ʻi muʻa, ʻo talangataʻa, mo kākāʻia, pea moʻua ki he ngaahi holi kovi mo e ngaahi meʻa fakamālie kehekehe, ʻo moʻui ʻi he fasituʻu mo e meheka, ko e fehiʻanekina mo e fetāufehiʻaʻaki.
4 But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared,
Kae hili hono fakahā mai ʻae angalelei mo e ʻaloʻofa ʻae ʻOtua, ko hotau Fakamoʻui, ki he tangata,
5 Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,
Naʻe ʻikai ʻi he ngaahi ngaue ʻoe māʻoniʻoni naʻa tau fai, kae fakatatau mo ʻene ʻofa mataʻataʻatā pe, kuo ne fakamoʻui ʻakitautolu, ʻi he fufulu ʻoe fakatupu foʻou, mo e fakafoʻou ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni;
6 Which he shed on vs aboundantly, through Iesus Christ our Sauiour,
‌ʻAia naʻa ne lilingi ʻo lahi ʻaupito kiate kitautolu ia Sisu Kalaisi, ko hotau Fakamoʻui;
7 That we, being iustified by his grace, should be made heires according to the hope of eternall life. (aiōnios g166)
Koeʻuhi ʻi he fakatonuhia ʻakitautolu ʻi heʻene ʻofa, ʻe ngaohi ai ʻakitautolu ko e fānau hoko, ʻo taau mo e ʻamanaki lelei, ki he moʻui taʻengata. (aiōnios g166)
8 This is a true saying, and these thinges I will thou shouldest affirme, that they which haue beleeued God, might be carefull to shewe foorth good woorkes. These things are good and profitable vnto men.
Ko e tala moʻoni eni, pea ko hoku loto ke ke fakapapau maʻuaipē ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni, koeʻuhi ko kinautolu kuo tui ki he ʻOtua, ke nau loto tokanga ke fai ʻae ngaahi ngaue lelei. ʻOku lelei mo ʻaonga ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni ki he kakai.
9 But stay foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and brawlings about the Lawe: for they are vnprofitable and vaine.
Ka ke tekeʻi ʻae ngaahi fehuʻi launoa, mo e tala hohoko, mo e fakakikihi, mo e ngaahi fekeʻikeʻi ʻi he fono; he ʻoku taʻeʻaonga ia mo vaʻinga.
10 Reiect him that is an heretike, after once or twise admonition,
Ko e tangata fakatupu mavahevahe, hili ʻa hono akonakiʻi ʻo liunga taha mo liunga ua, tukuange ia;
11 Knowing that hee that is such, is peruerted, and sinneth, being damned of his owne selfe.
‌ʻI he ʻilo ko ia ʻoku pehē, kuo fakahē ia, pea ʻoku fai angahala, pea kuo tukuakiʻi ia ʻiate ia pe.
12 When I shall send Artemas vnto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to mee vnto Nicopolis: for I haue determined there to winter.
‌ʻO kau ka fekau atu ʻa ʻAtima kiate koe, pe ko Tikiko, ke ke ʻahiʻahi ke ke fakatoʻotoʻo ke haʻu kiate au ʻi Nikopoli: he kuopau pe hoku loto ke nofo ki ai ʻi he faʻahitaʻu momoko.
13 Bring Zenas the expounder of the Lawe, and Apollos on their iourney diligently, that they lacke nothing.
Ke ke tokoni lelei pe kia Senasi ko e akonaki ʻi he fono, mo ʻApolosi, ʻi hona fononga, ke ʻoua te na masiva ʻi ha meʻa.
14 And let ours also learne to shewe foorth good woorkes for necessary vses, that they be not vnfruitfull.
Pea ke ʻilo ʻekinautolu ʻoku ʻotautolu foki, ke fai ʻae ngaahi ngaue lelei, ke maʻu ai ʻaia ʻoku ʻaonga, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa taʻefua ai ʻakinautolu.
15 All that are with mee, salute thee. Greete them that loue vs in the faith. Grace bee with you all, Amen. ‘To Titus, elect the first bishoppe of the Church of the Cretians, written from Nicopolis in Macedonia.’
Ko kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻiate au, ʻoku nau ʻofa atu kiate koe. ʻOfa atu kiate kinautolu ʻoku ʻofa kiate kitautolu ʻi he tui. Ke ʻiate kimoutolu kotoa pē ʻae ʻaloʻofa. ʻEmeni.
