Titus 3
1 Pvt them in remembrance that they bee subiect to the Principalities and powers, and that they bee obedient, and ready to euery good woorke,
Amonéstales para que se sometan a los gobiernos y a las autoridades, que las obedezcan y estén listos para toda obra buena;
2 That they speake euill of no man, that they be no fighters, but soft, shewing all meekenesse vnto all men.
que no digan mal de nadie, que no sean pendencieros sino apacibles, mostrando toda mansedumbre para con todos los hombres.
3 For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:
Pues también nosotros éramos en un tiempo necios, desobedientes, descarriados, esclavos de toda suerte de concupiscencias y placeres, viviendo en malicia y envidia, aborrecibles y aborreciéndonos unos a otros.
4 But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared,
Mas cuando se manifestó la bondad de Dios nuestro Salvador y su amor a los hombres,
5 Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,
Él nos salvó, no a causa de obras de justicia que hubiésemos hecho nosotros, sino según su misericordia, por medio del lavacro de la regeneración, y la renovación del Espíritu Santo,
6 Which he shed on vs aboundantly, through Iesus Christ our Sauiour,
que Él derramó sobre nosotros abundantemente por Jesucristo nuestro Salvador;
7 That we, being iustified by his grace, should be made heires according to the hope of eternall life. (aiōnios g166)
para que, justificados por su gracia, fuésemos constituidos, conforme a la esperanza, herederos de la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
8 This is a true saying, and these thinges I will thou shouldest affirme, that they which haue beleeued God, might be carefull to shewe foorth good woorkes. These things are good and profitable vnto men.
Palabra fiel es esta, y quiero que en cuanto a estas cosas te pongas firme, a fin de que los que han creído a Dios cuiden de ser los primeros. Esto es bueno y provechoso para los hombres.
9 But stay foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and brawlings about the Lawe: for they are vnprofitable and vaine.
Evita cuestiones necias, y genealogías, y contiendas, y disputas sobre la Ley, porque son inútiles y vanas.
10 Reiect him that is an heretike, after once or twise admonition,
Al hombre sectario, después de una y otra amonestación, rehúyelo,
11 Knowing that hee that is such, is peruerted, and sinneth, being damned of his owne selfe.
sabiendo que el tal se ha pervertido y peca, condenándose por su propia sentencia.
12 When I shall send Artemas vnto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to mee vnto Nicopolis: for I haue determined there to winter.
Cuando envíe a ti a Artemas o a Tíquico, date prisa en venir a Nicópolis porque he pensado pasar allí el invierno.
13 Bring Zenas the expounder of the Lawe, and Apollos on their iourney diligently, that they lacke nothing.
Despacha con toda solicitud a Zenas, el perito en la Ley, y a Apolos, de modo que nada les falte.
14 And let ours also learne to shewe foorth good woorkes for necessary vses, that they be not vnfruitfull.
Y aprendan también los nuestros a ser los primeros en buenas obras, atendiendo los casos de necesidad, para no ser estériles.
15 All that are with mee, salute thee. Greete them that loue vs in the faith. Grace bee with you all, Amen. ‘To Titus, elect the first bishoppe of the Church of the Cretians, written from Nicopolis in Macedonia.’
Te saludan todos los que están conmigo. Saluda a los que nos aman en la fe. La gracia sea con todos vosotros.
