Titus 3
1 Pvt them in remembrance that they bee subiect to the Principalities and powers, and that they bee obedient, and ready to euery good woorke,
Amintește-le să se supună stăpânilor și autorităților, să fie ascultători, să fie gata pentru orice lucrare bună,
2 That they speake euill of no man, that they be no fighters, but soft, shewing all meekenesse vnto all men.
să nu vorbească de rău pe nimeni, să nu fie certăreți, să fie blânzi, cu toată smerenia față de toți oamenii.
3 For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:
Fiindcă și noi am fost odinioară nebuni, neascultători, înșelați, slujind diferitelor pofte și plăceri, trăind în răutate și invidie, urâcioși și urându-ne unii pe alții.
4 But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared,
Dar, când s-a arătat bunătatea lui Dumnezeu, Mântuitorul nostru, și dragostea lui față de oameni,
5 Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,
nu prin fapte de dreptate pe care le-am făcut noi înșine, ci, potrivit milei sale, ne-a mântuit prin spălarea regenerării și înnoirea prin Duhul Sfânt,
6 Which he shed on vs aboundantly, through Iesus Christ our Sauiour,
pe care l-a revărsat din belșug asupra noastră prin Isus Hristos, Mântuitorul nostru,
7 That we, being iustified by his grace, should be made heires according to the hope of eternall life. (aiōnios g166)
pentru ca, fiind îndreptățiți prin harul său, să fim făcuți moștenitori, potrivit cu speranța vieții veșnice. (aiōnios g166)
8 This is a true saying, and these thinges I will thou shouldest affirme, that they which haue beleeued God, might be carefull to shewe foorth good woorkes. These things are good and profitable vnto men.
Această afirmație este credincioasă și, cu privire la aceste lucruri, doresc să insistați cu încredere, pentru ca cei care au crezut în Dumnezeu să fie atenți să păstreze faptele bune. Aceste lucruri sunt bune și folositoare pentru oameni;
9 But stay foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and brawlings about the Lawe: for they are vnprofitable and vaine.
dar evitați întrebările nebunești, genealogiile, certurile și disputele despre lege, pentru că sunt nefolositoare și zadarnice.
10 Reiect him that is an heretike, after once or twise admonition,
Evitați un om fățiș, după o primă și o a doua avertizare,
11 Knowing that hee that is such, is peruerted, and sinneth, being damned of his owne selfe.
știind că unul ca acesta este pervertit și păcătos, fiind condamnat de sine.
12 When I shall send Artemas vnto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to mee vnto Nicopolis: for I haue determined there to winter.
Când voi trimite la voi pe Artemas sau pe Tihicus, să vă sârguiți să veniți la mine la Nicopolis, căci am hotărât să iernez acolo.
13 Bring Zenas the expounder of the Lawe, and Apollos on their iourney diligently, that they lacke nothing.
Trimite repede pe Zenas, avocatul, și pe Apolo la drum, ca să nu le lipsească nimic.
14 And let ours also learne to shewe foorth good woorkes for necessary vses, that they be not vnfruitfull.
De asemenea, poporul nostru să învețe să întrețină fapte bune pentru a satisface nevoile necesare, ca să nu rămână fără rodnicie.
15 All that are with mee, salute thee. Greete them that loue vs in the faith. Grace bee with you all, Amen. ‘To Titus, elect the first bishoppe of the Church of the Cretians, written from Nicopolis in Macedonia.’
Toți cei ce sunt cu mine vă salută. Salutați-i pe cei care ne iubesc cu credință. Harul să fie cu voi toți. Amin.
