Song of Solomon 8

1 Oh that thou werest as my brother that sucked the brestes of my mother: I would finde thee without, I would kisse thee, then they should not despise thee.

എന്റെ അമ്മ മുലയൂട്ടിവളർത്തിയ ഒരു സഹോദരൻ ആയിരുന്നു നീ എങ്കിൽ! ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വെളിയിൽ കാണുമ്പോൾ, എനിക്കു നിന്നെ ചുംബിക്കാമായിരുന്നു, ആരും എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല.

2 I will leade thee and bring thee into my mothers house: there thou shalt teache me: and I will cause thee to drinke spiced wine, and newe wine of the pomegranate.

ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ മാതൃഗൃഹത്തിലേക്ക് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുമായിരുന്നു— എനിക്കു പരിശീലനംതന്നവളുടെ ചാരത്തേക്കുതന്നെ. സുഗന്ധരസംചേർത്ത വീഞ്ഞും മാതളപ്പഴച്ചാറും ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് പാനംചെയ്യാൻ നൽകുമായിരുന്നു.

3 His left hand shalbe vnder mine head, and his right hand shall embrace me.

അവന്റെ ഇടതുകരത്തിന്മേൽ എന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് വിശ്രമിക്കുന്നു, അവന്റെ വലതുകരം എന്നെ പുണരുന്നു.

4 I charge you, O daughters of Ierusale, that you stir not vp, nor waken my loue, vntil she please.

ജെറുശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, എനിക്കുറപ്പുനൽകുക: അനുയോജ്യസമയം വരുംവരെ പ്രേമം ഉത്തേജിപ്പിക്കുകയോ ഉണർത്തുകയോ അരുത്.

5 (Who is this that commeth vp out of the wildernesse, leaning vpon her welbeloued?) I raysed thee vp vnder an apple tree: there thy mother conceiued thee: there she coceiued that bare thee.

തന്റെ പ്രിയന്റെമേൽ ചാരി, മരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് കയറിവരുന്നോരിവളാരാണ്? യുവതി നിന്റെ അമ്മ നിന്നെ ഗർഭംധരിച്ച, അതേ ആപ്പിൾമരച്ചുവട്ടിൽവെച്ചുതന്നെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉണർത്തി; അവിടെത്തന്നെയാണല്ലോ പ്രസവവേദനയേറ്റ് അവൾ നിനക്കു ജന്മംനൽകിയത്.

6 Set mee as a seale on thine heart, and as a signet vpon thine arme: for loue is strong as death: ielousie is cruel as the graue: the coles thereof are fierie coles, and a vehement flame. (Sheol h7585)

നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേൽ എന്നെ ഒരു മുദ്രയായണിയൂ, നിന്റെ ഭുജത്തിലെ മുദ്രപോലെതന്നെ; കാരണം പ്രേമം മരണംപോലെതന്നെ ശക്തവും അതിന്റെ തീവ്രത ശവക്കുഴിപോലെതന്നെ കഠിനവുമാകുന്നു. ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിപോലെ അത് എരിയുന്നു, ഉഗ്രമായ അഗ്നിനാളംപോലെതന്നെ. (Sheol h7585)

7 Much water can not quench loue, neither can the floods drowne it: If a man should giue all the substance of his house for loue, they would greatly contemne it.

പ്രേമാഗ്നി അണയ്ക്കാൻ ഒരു പ്രളയത്താലും കഴിയില്ല; നദികൾക്കതിനെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്നതിനും കഴിയില്ല. ഒരാൾ സ്വഭവനത്തിലെ സർവസമ്പത്തും പ്രേമസാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിനായി നൽകിയാലും ആ വാഗ്ദാനവും അപഹാസ്യമാകുകയേയുള്ളൂ.

8 Wee haue a litle sister, and she hath no breastes: what shall we do for our sister when she shalbe spoken for?

ഞങ്ങൾക്കൊരു കുഞ്ഞുപെങ്ങളുണ്ട്, അവളുടെ സ്തനങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും വളർന്നിട്ടില്ല നമ്മുടെ പെങ്ങൾക്കു വിവാഹാലോചനവരുമ്പോൾ അവൾക്കുവേണ്ടി നമുക്കെന്തുചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയും?

9 If shee be a wall, we will builde vpon her a siluer palace: and if she be a doore, we wil keepe her in with bordes of cedar.

അവൾ ഒരു മതിലാകുന്നെങ്കിൽ, നാം അവൾക്കുമേൽ വെള്ളികൊണ്ടൊരു ഗോപുരം പണിതുയർത്തും അവൾ ഒരു വാതിലാകുന്നെങ്കിൽ, ദേവദാരു പലകകൾകൊണ്ട് അവൾക്കുചുറ്റും സംരക്ഷണംതീർക്കും.

10 I am a wall, and my breasts are as towres: then was I in his eyes as one that findeth peace.

ഞാൻ ഒരു മതിലാകുന്നു, എന്റെ സ്തനങ്ങൾ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾപോലെയും. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മിഴികൾക്ക് ഒരുത്സവമായി.

11 Salomon had a vine in Baal-hamon: hee gaue the vineyarde vnto keepers: euery one bringeth for ye fruite thereof a thousand pieces of siluer.

ശലോമോന് ബാൽ-ഹാമോനിൽ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് പാട്ടക്കർഷകരെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു. അതിന്റെ ആദായവിഹിതമായി ഓരോരുത്തരും ആയിരം വെള്ളിനാണയങ്ങൾ വീതം പാട്ടം കെട്ടേണ്ടതായിട്ടുണ്ട്.

12 But my vineyarde which is mine, is before me: to thee, O Salomon appertaineth a thousand pieces of siluer, and two hundreth to them that keepe the fruite thereof.

എന്നാൽ ഇത് എന്റെ സ്വന്തം മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ്; ശലോമോനേ, ആയിരം നിന്റേത്, തോട്ടം കാക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഇരുനൂറും.

13 O thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken vnto thy voyce: cause me to heare it.

പരിചാരികമാരായ തോഴിമാരോടൊപ്പം ഉദ്യാനങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവളേ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സ്വരം കേൾക്കട്ടെ!

14 O my welbeloued, flee away, and be like vnto the roe, or to the yong harte vpon ye mountaines of spices.

എന്റെ പ്രിയാ, നീ ഓടിപ്പോന്നാലും, ഒരു ചെറു കലമാനിനെപ്പോലെ പരിമളപർവതമേടുകളിലെ മാൻകിടാവിനെപ്പോലെതന്നെ.
