Romans 15

1 We which are strong, ought to beare the infirmities of the weake, and not to please our selues.

Mas nós, que somos fortes, devemos supportar as fraquezas dos fracos, e não agradar a nós mesmos.

2 Therefore let euery man please his neighbour in that that is good to edification.

Portanto cada um de nós agrade ao seu proximo no que é bom para edificação.

3 For Christ also would not please himselfe, but as it is written, The rebukes of them which rebuke thee, fell on me.

Porque tambem Christo não agradou a si mesmo, mas, como está escripto: Sobre mim cairam as injurias dos que te injuriavam.

4 For whatsoeuer things are written aforetime, are writte for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might haue hope.

Porque todas as coisas que d'antes foram escriptas, para nosso ensino foram escriptas, para que pela paciencia e consolação das Escripturas tenhamos esperança.

5 Now the God of patience and consolation giue you that ye be like minded one towards another, according to Christ Iesus,

Ora o Deus de paciencia e consolação vos conceda que entre vós sintaes uma mesma coisa, segundo Jesus Christo.

6 That ye with one minde, and with one mouth may prayse God, euen the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ.

Para que concordes, a uma bocca, glorifiqueis ao Deus e Pae de Nosso Senhor Jesus Christo.

7 Wherefore receiue ye one another, as Christ also receiued vs to the glory of God.

Portanto recebei uns aos outros, como tambem Christo nos recebeu para gloria de Deus.

8 Nowe I say, that Iesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision, for the trueth of God, to confirme the promises made vnto the fathers.

Digo pois que Jesus Christo foi ministro da circumcisão, por causa da verdade de Deus, para confirmar as promessas feitas aos paes;

9 And let the Gentiles prayse God, for his mercie, as it is written, For this cause I wil confesse thee among the Gentiles, and sing vnto thy Name.

E para que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus pela sua misericordia, como está escripto: Portanto eu te confessarei entre os gentios, e cantarei ao teu nome.

10 And againe he saith, Reioyce, ye Gentiles with his people.

E outra vez diz: Alegrae-vos, gentios, com o seu povo.

11 And againe, Prayse the Lord, all ye Gentiles, and laude ye him, all people together.

E outra vez: Louvae ao Senhor, todos os gentios, e celebrae-o, todos os povos.

12 And againe Esaias sayth, There shall be a roote of Iesse, and hee that shall rise to reigne ouer the Gentiles, in him shall the Gentiles trust.

E outra vez diz Isaias: Uma raiz de Jessé haverá, e n'aquelle que se levantar para reger os gentios esperarão os gentios.

13 Nowe the God of hope fill you with all ioye, and peace in beleeuing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the holy Ghost.

Ora o Deus de esperança vos encha de todo o gozo e paz na fé, para que abundeis em esperança pela virtude do Espirito Sancto.

14 And I my selfe also am perswaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodnes, and filled with all knowledge, and are able to admonish one another.

Porém, meus irmãos, certo estou, a respeito de vós, que tambem vós mesmos estaes cheios de bondade, cheios de todo o conhecimento, e poderosos para tambem vos admoestardes uns aos outros.

15 Neuerthelesse, brethren, I haue somewhat boldly after a sort written vnto you, as one that putteth you in remembrance, through the grace that is giuen me of God,

Mas, irmãos, em parte vos escrevi mais ousadamente, como trazendo-vos outra vez isto á memoria, pela graça que por Deus me foi dada;

16 That I should be the minister of Iesus Christ toward the Gentiles, ministring the Gospel of God, that the offering vp of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the holy Ghost.

Para que seja ministro de Jesus Christo entre os gentios, administrando o evangelho de Deus, para que seja agradavel a offerta dos gentios, sanctificada pelo Espirito Sancto.

17 I haue therefore whereof I may reioyce in Christ Iesus in those things which pertaine to God.

De sorte que tenho gloria em Jesus Christo nas coisas que pertencem a Deus.

18 For I dare not speake of any thing, which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient in worde and deede,

Porque não ousaria dizer coisa alguma, que Christo por mim não tenha feito, para obediencia dos gentios, por palavra e por obras;

19 With the power of signes and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God: so that from Hierusalem, and round about vnto Illyricum, I haue caused to abound the Gospel of Christ.

Pelo poder dos signaes e prodigios, pela virtude do Espirito de Deus: de maneira que desde Jerusalem, e pelos arredores, até ao Illyrico, tenho prégado o evangelho de Jesus Christo.

20 Yea, so I enforced my selfe to preach the Gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should haue built on another mans foundation.

E assim afectuosamente me esforcei em annunciar o evangelho, não onde Christo houvera sido nomeado, para não edificar sobre fundamento alheio,

21 But as it is written, To whome hee was not spoken of, they shall see him, and they that heard not, shall vnderstand him.

Antes, como está escripto: Aquelles a quem não foi annunciado o verão, e os que não ouviram o entenderão.

22 Therefore also I haue bene oft let to come vnto you:

Pelo que tambem muitas vezes tenho sido impedido de ir ter comvosco.

23 But nowe seeing I haue no more place in these quarters, and also haue bene desirous many yeeres agone to come vnto you,

Mas agora, que não tenho mais demora n'estas partes, e tendo já ha muitos annos grande desejo de ir ter comvosco.

24 When I shall take my iourney into Spaine, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my iourney, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, after that I haue bene somewhat filled with your company.

Quando partir para Hespanha irei ter comvosco; pois espero que de passagem vos verei e para lá serei acompanhado de vós, depois de ter gozado em parte da vossa presença.

25 But now go I to Hierusalem, to minister vnto the Saints.

Mas agora vou a Jerusalem para ministrar aos sanctos.

26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia, to make a certaine distribution vnto the poore Saints which are at Hierusalem.

Porque pareceu bem á Macedonia e á Achaia fazerem uma collecta para os pobres d'entre os sanctos que estão em Jerusalem.

27 For it hath pleased them, and their detters are they: for if the Gentiles be made partakers of their spirituall things, their duetie is also to minister vnto them in carnall things.

Porque lhes pareceu bem, e são-lhes devedores. Porque, se os gentios foram participantes dos seus bens espirituaes, devem tambem ministrar-lhes os temporaes.

28 When I haue therefore performed this, and haue sealed them this fruite, I will passe by you into Spaine.

Assim que, concluido isto, e havendo-lhes consignado este fructo, de lá, passando por vós, irei a Hespanha.

29 And I knowe when I come, that I shall come to you with abundance of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ.

E bem sei que, chegando a vós, chegarei com a plenitude da benção do evangelho de Christo.

30 Also brethren, I beseeche you for our Lord Iesus Christes sake, and for the loue of the spirit, that ye would striue with me by prayers to God for me,

E rogo-vos, irmãos, por nosso Senhor Jesus Christo e pelo amor do Espirito, que combataes comigo em orações por mim a Deus;

31 That I may be deliuered from them which are disobedient in Iudea, and that my seruice which I haue to doe at Hierusalem, may be accepted of the Saintes,

Para que seja livre dos rebeldes que estão na Judéa, e que esta minha administração, que em Jerusalem faço, seja acceite aos sanctos;

32 That I may come vnto you with ioy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

Para que, pela vontade de Deus, chegue a vós com alegria, e possa recreiar-me comvosco.

33 Thus the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

E o Deus de paz seja com todos vós. Amen.
