Revelation 5

1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sate vpon the throne, a Booke written within, and on the backside, sealed with seuen seales.

Puis je vis, dans la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône, un livre écrit en dedans et en dehors, scellé de sept sceaux.

2 And I sawe a strong Angell which preached with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open ye booke, and to loose the seales thereof?

Je vis aussi un ange puissant, qui criait d'une voix forte: Qui est digne d'ouvrir le livre et d'en rompre les sceaux?

3 And no man in heauen, nor in earth, neither vnder the earth, was able to open the Booke, neither to looke thereon.

Mais il n'y avait personne, ni dans le ciel, ni sur la terre, ni sous la terre, qui pût ouvrir le livre, ni le regarder.

4 Then I wept much, because no man was foud worthy to open, and to reade the Booke, neither to looke thereon.

Et je pleurais beaucoup, parce qu'il ne s'était trouvé personne qui fût digne d'ouvrir le livre, ni de le regarder.

5 And one of the Elders saide vnto me, Weepe not: beholde, that Lion which is of the tribe of Iuda, that roote of Dauid, hath obteined to open the Booke, and to loose the seuen seales thereof.

Alors l'un des vieillards me dit: Ne pleure pas! Voici qu'il a vaincu, le lion de la tribu de Juda, le rejeton de David: il a le pouvoir d'ouvrir le livre et d'en rompre les sept sceaux.

6 Then I behelde, and loe, in the middes of the throne, and of the foure beasts, and in the mids of the Elders, stoode a Labe as though he had bene killed, which had seuen hornes, and seuen eyes, which are the seuen spirites of God, sent into all the world.

Puis je vis, au milieu du trône et des quatre animaux et au milieu des vieillards, un Agneau qui était là comme immolé; il avait sept cornes et sept yeux, qui sont les sept esprits de Dieu envoyés par toute la terre.

7 And hee came, and tooke the Booke out of the right hand of him that sate vpon the throne.

Il s'avança et prit le livre de la main droite de Celui qui était assis sur le trône.

8 And when he had taken ye Booke, ye foure beasts and the foure and twenty Elders fel downe before the Lambe, hauing euery one harps and golden vials full of odours, which are the praiers of the Saintes,

Et quand il prit le livre, les quatre animaux et les vingt-quatre vieillards se prosternèrent devant l'Agneau, ayant chacun une harpe et des coupes d'or pleines de parfum: ce sont les prières des saints.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthie to take the Booke, and to open the seales thereof, because thou wast killed, and hast redeemed vs to God by thy blood out of euery kinred, and tongue, and people, and nation,

Ils chantaient un cantique nouveau, et ils disaient: Tu es digne de prendre le livre et d'en ouvrir les sceaux; car tu as été immolé, et tu as racheté pour Dieu, par ton sang, des hommes de toute tribu, de toute langue, de tout peuple et de toute nation.

10 And hast made vs vnto our God Kings and Priests, and we shall reigne on the earth.

Tu les as faits rois et sacrificateurs pour notre Dieu; et ils régneront sur la terre.

11 Then I behelde, and I heard the voice of many Angels round about the throne, and about the beastes and the Elders, and there were ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousand thousands,

Puis je regardai, et j'entendis, autour du trône, autour des animaux et des vieillards, la voix d'une multitude d'anges. Il y en avait des myriades de myriades, des milliers de milliers,

12 Saying with a loude voice, Worthie is the Lambe that was killed to receiue power, and riches, and wisdome, and strength, and honour, and glory, and praise.

qui disaient d'une voix forte: L'Agneau qui a été immolé est digne de recevoir la puissance, la richesse, la sagesse, la force, l'honneur, la gloire et la louange!

13 And al the creatures which are in heauen, and on the earth, and vnder the earth, and in the sea, and al that are in them, heard I, saying, Praise, and honour, and glory, and power be vnto him, that sitteth vpon the throne, and vnto the Lambe for euermore. (aiōn g165)

J'entendis aussi toutes les créatures, dans le ciel, sur la terre, sous la terre, sur la mer, et toutes les choses qui s'y trouvent, qui disaient: A celui qui est assis sur le trône et à l'Agneau, soient la louange, l'honneur, la gloire et la force, aux siècles des siècles! (aiōn g165)

14 And the foure beasts said, Amen, and the foure and twentie Elders fell downe and worshipped him that liueth for euermore.

Et les quatre animaux disaient: Amen! Alors les vieillards se prosternèrent et adorèrent.
