Revelation 19
1 And after these things I heard a great voyce of a great multitude in heauen, saying, Hallelu-iah, saluation, and glorie, and honour, and power be to the Lord our God.
Après cela, j'entendis dans le ciel une grande voix comme celle d'une multitude innombrable disant: «Alléluia! Salut, et gloire, et puissance à notre Dieu,
2 For true and righteous are his iudgements: for he hath condemned that great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath auenged the blood of his seruants shed by her hand.
car ses jugements sont vrais et justes, et il a jugé la grande prostituée qui corrompait la terre par sa prostitution, et il a vengé le sang de ses serviteurs versé par sa main!»
Et une seconde fois, ils dirent: «Alléluia! la fumée de son incendie monte aux siècles des siècles!» (aiōn g165)
4 And the foure and twentie Elders, and the foure beastes fell downe, and worshipped God that sate on the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelu-iah.
Alors les vingt-quatre vieillards et les quatre animaux se prosternèrent et adorèrent Dieu, assis sur le trône, disant: «Amen! alléluia!»
5 Then a voyce came out of the throne, saying, Prayse our God, all ye his seruants, and ye that feare him, both small and great.
Et une voix sortit du trône qui disait: «Louez notre Dieu, vous tous qui êtes ses serviteurs, et qui le craignez, petits et grands.»
6 And I heard like a voyce of a great multitude, and as the voyce of many waters, and as the voyce of strong thundrings, saying, Hallelu-iah: for the Lord that God that almightie God hath reigned.
Et j'entendis une voix comme celle d'une multitude innombrable, et comme la voix des grandes eaux, et comme le bruit de forts coups de tonnerre disant: «Alléluia! car le Seigneur notre Dieu, le Tout-Puissant est entré dans son règne.
7 Let vs be glad and reioyce, and giue glory to him: for the marriage of that Lambe is come, and his wife hath made her selfe ready.
Réjouissons-nous, et livrons-nous à l'allégresse, et rendons-lui gloire, car voici l'heure des noces de l'agneau, et son épouse s'est parée,
8 And to her was granted, that she should be arayed with pure fine linnen and shining, for the fine linnen is the righteousnesse of Saintes.
et il lui a été donné de revêtir une robe de fin lin, brillant du plus pur éclat.» (Le fin lin symbolise les actes de vertu des saints.)
9 Then he said vnto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called vnto the Lambes supper. And he said vnto me, These wordes of God are true.
Et il me dit: «Écris: Heureux les invités au festin des noces de l'agneau.» Et il me dit: «Ce sont là les véritables paroles de Dieu.»
10 And I fell before his feete, to worship him: but he said vnto me, See thou doe it not: I am thy fellowe seruant, and one of thy brethren, which haue the testimonie of Iesus. Worship God: for the testimonie of Iesus is the Spirit of prophecie.
Et je me prosternai à ses pieds pour l'adorer, et il me dit: «Garde-toi de le faire! je suis un serviteur comme toi, et tes frères qui gardent le témoignage de Jésus. Adore Dieu.» (En effet, le témoignage de Jésus c'est l'esprit de la prophétie.)
11 And I sawe heauen open, and behold, a white horse, and he that sate vpon him, was called, Faithfull and true, and he iudgeth and fighteth righteously.
Et je vis le ciel ouvert, et voici, un cheval blanc; et celui qui le montait s'appelle fidèle et véridique, et il juge et combat avec justice.
12 And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crownes: and he had a name written, that no man knewe but himselfe.
Ses yeux étaient une flamme ardente et, sur sa tête, plusieurs diadèmes. Il portait écrit un nom que nul ne conne que lui-même,
13 And he was clothed with a garment dipt in blood, and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.
et il était vêtu d'un manteau teint de sang, et son nom est: «La Parole de Dieu.»
14 And the hostes which werein heauen, followed him vpon white horses, clothed with fine linnen white and pure.
Et les armées du ciel le suivaient sur des chevaux blancs, revêtus d'un fin lin, blanc et pur.
15 And out of his mouth went out a sharpe sworde, that with it he should smite the heathen: for he shall rule them with a rod of yron: for he it is that treadeth the wine presse of the fiercenesse and wrath of almightie God.
Et de sa bouche sort une épée aiguë dont il doit frapper les nations. Et il les «gouvernera avec une verge de fer», et il foulera le cuve du vin brûlant de la colère du Dieu Tout-Puissant.
16 And he hath vpon his garment, and vpon his thigh a name written, THE KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Et sur son manteau et sur sa cuisse est écrit le nom: Roi des rois et Seigneur des seigneurs.
17 And I sawe an Angel stand in the sunne, who cryed with a loude voyce, saying to all the foules that did flie by the middes of heauen, Come, and gather your selues together vnto the supper of ye great God,
Et je vis un ange debout dans le soleil, et il cria d'une voix éclatante à tous les oiseaux qui volaient au zénith: «Venez, assemblez-vous pour le grand festin de Dieu;
18 That ye may eate the flesh of Kings, and the flesh of hie Captaines, and the flesh of mightie men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all freemen, and bondmen, and of small and great.
venez manger la chair des rois, et la chair des tribuns, et la chair des forts, et la chair des chevaux et de leurs cavaliers, et la chair de tous, hommes libres et esclaves, petits et grands!»
19 And I sawe the beast, and the Kings of the earth, and their hostes gathered together to make battell against him that sate on the horse, and against his armie.
Et je vis la bête, et les rois de la terre, et leurs armées réunies pour faire la guerre à celui qui était assis sur le cheval et à son armée.
21 And the remnant were slayne with the sword of him that sitteth vpon the horse, which commeth out of his mouth, and all the foules were filled full with their flesh.
Et les autres furent tués par le glaive qui sortait de la bouche de celui qui était assis sur le cheval, et tous les oiseaux se rassasièrent de leur chair.
