Psalms 85

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.

Para o músico chefe. Um salmo pelos filhos de Corá. Yahweh, você tem sido favorável à sua terra. Você restaurou a fortuna de Jacob.

2 Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. (Selah)

Você perdoou a iniqüidade de seu povo. Você cobriu todos os seus pecados. (Selah)

3 Thou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.

Você tirou toda sua fúria. Você se transformou da ferocidade de sua raiva.

4 Turne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.

Transforme-nos, Deus de nossa salvação, e fazer com que sua indignação para conosco cesse.

5 Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?

Você vai ficar com raiva de nós para sempre? Você vai atrair sua raiva para todas as gerações?

6 Wilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?

Won não nos reanimem novamente, que seu povo possa se regozijar com você?

7 Shew vs thy mercie, O Lord, and graunt vs thy saluation.

Show us your loving kindness, Yahweh. Conceda-nos sua salvação.

8 I will hearken what the Lord God will say: for he will speake peace vnto his people, and to his Saintes, that they turne not againe to follie.

Vou ouvir o que Deus, Javé, vai falar, pois ele falará de paz ao seu povo, aos seus santos; mas que não se transformem novamente em loucuras.

9 Surely his saluation is neere to them that feare him, that glory may dwell in our land.

Certamente sua salvação está próxima daqueles que o temem, que a glória possa habitar em nossa terra.

10 Mercie and trueth shall meete: righteousnes and peace shall kisse one another.

Mercy e a verdade se reúnem. A justiça e a paz se beijaram.

11 Trueth shall bud out of the earth, and righteousnes shall looke downe from heauen.

A verdade brota da terra. A justiça tem olhado do céu para baixo.

12 Yea, the Lord shall giue good things, and our land shall giue her increase.

Yes, Yahweh dará o que é bom. Nossas terras renderão seu aumento.

13 Righteousnesse shall go before him, and shall set her steps in the way.

Righteousness vai antes dele, e prepara o caminho para seus passos.
