Psalms 84
1 To him that excelleth upon Gittith. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. O Lord of hostes, howe amiable are thy Tabernacles!
Quão amaveis são os teus tabernaculos, Senhor dos Exercitos.
2 My soule longeth, yea, and fainteth for the courtes of the Lord: for mine heart and my flesh reioyce in the liuing God.
A minha alma está desejosa, e desfallece pelos atrios do Senhor: o meu coração e a minha carne clamam pelo Deus vivo.
3 Yea, the sparrowe hath found her an house, and the swallow a nest for her, where she may lay her yong: euen by thine altars, O Lord of hostes, my King and my God.
Até o pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde ponha seus filhos, até mesmo nos teus altares, Senhor dos exercitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thine house: they will euer praise thee. (Selah)
Bemaventurados os que habitam em tua casa: louvar-te-hão continuamente. (Selah)
5 Blessed is the man, whose strength is in thee, and in whose heart are thy wayes.
Bemaventurado o homem cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração estão os caminhos aplanados.
6 They going through the vale of Baca, make welles therein: the raine also couereth the pooles.
Que, passando pelo valle das amoreiras, faz d'elle uma fonte; a chuva tambem enche os tanques.
7 They goe from strength to strength, till euery one appeare before God in Zion.
Vão indo de força em força; cada um d'elles em Sião apparece perante Deus.
8 O Lord God of hostes, heare my prayer: hearken, O God of Iaakob. (Selah)
Senhor Deus dos Exercitos, escuta a minha oração: inclina os ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacob! (Selah)
9 Beholde, O God, our shielde, and looke vpon the face of thine Anointed.
Olha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.
10 For a day in thy courtes is better then a thousand other where: I had rather be a doore keeper in the House of my God, then to dwell in the Tabernacles of wickednesse.
Porque vale mais um dia nos teus atrios do que mil. Preferiria estar á porta da casa do meu Deus, a habitar nas tendas dos impios.
11 For the Lord God is the sunne and shielde vnto vs: the Lord will giue grace and glory, and no good thing will he withhold from them that walke vprightly.
Porque o Senhor Deus é um sol e escudo: o Senhor dará graça e gloria; não retirará bem algum aos que andam na rectidão.
12 O Lord of hostes, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Senhor dos Exercitos, bemaventurado o homem que em ti põe a sua confiança.
