Psalms 69
1 To him that excelleth upon Shoshannim. A Psalme of David. Save mee, O God: for the waters are entred euen to my soule.
Pour la fin, pour ceux qui seront changés, par David. Sauvez-moi, ô Dieu, parce que des eaux sont entrées dans mon âme.
2 I sticke fast in the deepe myre, where no staie is: I am come into deepe waters, and the streames runne ouer me.
Je suis enfoncé dans une boue profonde et sans consistance. Je suis venu dans la profondeur de la mer, et une tempête m’a submergé.
3 I am wearie of crying: my throte is drie: mine eyes faile, whiles I waite for my God.
Je me suis fatigué en criant, ma gorge est devenue enrouée: mes yeux défaillent, pendant que j’espère en mon Dieu.
4 They that hate mee without a cause, are moe then the heares of mine heade: they that would destroy mee, and are mine enemies falsly, are mightie, so that I restored that which I tooke not.
Ils se sont multipliés plus que les cheveux de ma tête, ceux qui me haïssent sans sujet. Ils se sont fortifiés, ceux qui me persécutent injustement; ce que je n’avais pas pris, je l’ai pourtant payé.
5 O God, thou knowest my foolishnesse, and my fautes are not hid from thee.
Ô Dieu, c’est vous qui savez ma folie; et mes péchés ne vous sont point cachés.
6 Let not them that trust in thee, O Lord God of hostes, be ashamed for me: let not those that seeke thee, be confounded through mee, O God of Israel.
Qu’ils ne rougissent pas à cause de moi, ceux qui vous attendent, Seigneur, Seigneur des armées. Qu’ils ne soient pas confondus à mon sujet, ceux qui vous cherchent, ô Dieu d’Israël.
7 For thy sake haue I suffred reproofe: shame hath couered my face.
Puisque c’est à cause de vous que j’ai souffert l’opprobre, et que la confusion a couvert ma face.
8 I am become a stranger vnto my brethren, euen an aliant vnto my mothers sonnes.
Je suis devenu étranger à mes frères, un inconnu aux fils de ma mère.
9 For the zeale of thine house hath eaten mee, and the rebukes of them that rebuked thee, are fallen vpon me.
Parce que le zèle de votre maison m’a dévoré, et que les outrages de ceux qui vous insultaient sont tombés sur moi.
10 I wept and my soule fasted, but that was to my reproofe.
J’ai couvert mon âme dans le jeûne, et on m’en a fait un sujet d’opprobre.
11 I put on a sacke also: and I became a prouerbe vnto them.
Et j’ai pris pour mon vêtement un cilice, et je suis devenu pour eux un proverbe.
12 They that sate in the gate, spake of mee, and the drunkards sang of me.
Ceux qui étaient assis à la porte de la ville parlaient contre moi, et ceux qui buvaient du vin me chantaient en dérision.
13 But Lord, I make my praier vnto thee in an acceptable time, euen in the multitude of thy mercie: O God, heare me in the trueth of thy saluation.
Pour moi, je vous adresse ma prière, Seigneur; c’est le temps de votre bienveillance, ô Dieu.
14 Deliuer mee out of the myre, that I sinke not: let me be deliuered from them that hate me, and out of the deepe waters.
Retirez-moi de la fange, afin que je n’y demeure pas enfoncé; délivrez-moi de ceux qui me haïssent, et du fond des eaux.
15 Let not the water flood drowne mee, neither let the deepe swallowe me vp: and let not the pit shut her mouth vpon me.
Qu’une tempête d’eau ne me submerge pas, qu’un abîme ne m’engloutisse pas; qu’un puits ne referme pas sa bouche sur moi.
16 Heare me, O Lord, for thy louing kindnes is good: turne vnto me according to ye multitude of thy tender mercies.
Exaucez-moi, Seigneur, parce que votre miséricorde est bienfaisante; selon la multitude de vos bontés, jetez un regard sur moi.
17 And hide not thy face from thy seruant, for I am in trouble: make haste and heare me.
Et ne détournez pas votre face de votre serviteur; parce que je suis tourmenté, exaucez-moi promptement,
18 Draw neere vnto my soule and redeeme it: deliuer me because of mine enemies.
Soyez attentif à mon âme et délivrez-la à cause de mes ennemis: sauvez-moi.
19 Thou hast knowen my reproofe and my shame, and my dishonour: all mine aduersaries are before thee.
C’est vous qui connaissez mon opprobre, ma confusion et ma retenue.
20 Rebuke hath broken mine heart, and I am full of heauinesse, and I looked for some to haue pitie on me, but there was none: and for comforters, but I found none.
Ils sont en votre présence, tous ceux qui me tourmentent: mon cœur a attendu l’opprobre et la misère.
21 For they gaue me gall in my meate, and in my thirst they gaue me vineger to drinke.
Ils m’ont donné pour nourriture du fiel, et dans ma soif ils m’ont abreuvé de vinaigre.
22 Let their table be a snare before them, and their prosperitie their ruine.
Que leur table devienne devant eux un filet, et la punition qu’ils méritent, une pierre d’achoppement.
23 Let their eyes be blinded that they see not: and make their loynes alway to tremble.
Que leur yeux s’obscurcissent, afin qu’ils ne voient point: et tenez leur dos toujours courbé.
24 Powre out thine anger vpon them, and let thy wrathfull displeasure take them.
Répandez sur eux votre colère, et que la fureur de votre colère les saisisse.
25 Let their habitation be voide, and let none dwell in their tents.
Que leur habitation devienne déserte, et que dans leurs tabernacles il n’y ait personne qui habite.
26 For they persecute him, whome thou hast smitten: and they adde vnto the sorrowe of them, whome thou hast wounded.
Parce qu’ils ont persécuté celui que vous-même vous avez frappé, et qu’ils ont ajouté à la douleur de mes plaies.
27 Laie iniquitie vpon their iniquitie, and let them not come into thy righteousnesse.
Mettez iniquité sur leur iniquité, et qu’ils n’entrent point dans votre justice.
28 Let them be put out of the booke of life, neither let them be written with the righteous.
Qu’ils soient effacés du livre des vivants, et qu’avec les justes ils ne soient point écrits.
29 When I am poore and in heauinesse, thine helpe, O God, shall exalt me.
Pour moi, je suis pauvre et souffrant; votre secours, ô mon Dieu, m’a soutenu.
30 I will praise the Name of God with a song, and magnifie him with thankesgiuing.
Je louerai le nom du Seigneur par un cantique, je le glorifierai par ma louange.
31 This also shall please the Lord better then a yong bullocke, that hath hornes and hoofes.
Et cela sera plus agréable à Dieu qu’un jeune veau qui pousse ses cornes et ses ongles.
32 The humble shall see this, and they that seeke God, shalbe glad, and your heart shall liue.
Que les pauvres voient et se réjouissent: cherchez Dieu et votre âme vivra;
33 For the Lord heareth the poore, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Parce que le Seigneur a exaucé les pauvres, il n’a pas méprisé ceux qui sont dans les liens.
34 Let heauen and earth praise him: the seas and all that moueth in them.
Que les cieux le louent, ainsi que la terre, la mer et tous les reptiles qu’ils contiennent.
35 For God will saue Zion, and builde the cities of Iudah, that men may dwell there and haue it in possession.
Parce que Dieu sauvera Sion, et que les cités de Juda seront rebâties.
36 The seede also of his seruants shall inherit it: and they that loue his name, shall dwel therein.
Et la race des serviteurs de Dieu la possédera; et ceux qui aiment son nom y habiteront.
