Psalms 63
1 A Psalme of David. When he was in the wildernesse of Judah. O God, thou art my God, earely will I seeke thee: my soule thirsteth for thee: my flesh longeth greatly after thee in a barren and drye land without water.
Oh Bog, ti si moj Bog, zgodaj te bom iskal. Mojo dušo žeja po tebi, moje meso hrepeni po tebi v suhi in žejni deželi, kjer ni vode,
2 Thus I beholde thee as in the Sanctuarie, when I beholde thy power and thy glorie.
da bi videl tvojo oblast in tvojo slavo, tako kot sem te videl v svetišču.
3 For thy louing kindnesse is better then life: therefore my lippes shall prayse thee.
Ker je tvoja ljubeča skrbnost boljša kot življenje, te bodo moje ustnice hvalile.
4 Thus will I magnifie thee all my life, and lift vp mine hands in thy name.
Tako te bom blagoslavljal, medtem ko živim, svoje roke bom vzdigoval v tvojem imenu.
5 My soule shalbe satisfied, as with marowe and fatnesse, and my mouth shall praise thee with ioyfull lippes,
Moja duša bo nasičena kakor z mozgom in tolščo in moja usta te bodo hvalila z radostnimi ustnicami,
6 When I remember thee on my bedde, and when I thinke vpon thee in the night watches.
ko se te spominjam na svoji postelji in o tebi premišljujem v nočnih stražah.
7 Because thou hast bene mine helper, therefore vnder the shadow of thy wings wil I reioyce.
Ker si bil ti moja pomoč, zato se bom veselil v senci tvojih peruti.
8 My soule cleaueth vnto thee: for thy right hand vpholdeth me.
Moja duša trdno sledi tebi; tvoja desnica me podpira.
9 Therefore they that seeke my soule to destroy it, they shall goe into the lowest partes of the earth.
Toda tisti, ki iščejo mojo dušo, da bi jo uničili, bodo šli v globočine zemlje.
10 They shall cast him downe with the edge of the sword, and they shall be a portion for foxes.
Padli bodo pod mečem; delež bodo za lisice.
11 But the King shall reioyce in God, and all that sweare by him shall reioyce in him: for the mouth of them that speake lyes, shall be stopped.
Toda kralj se bo veselil v Bogu, vsak, kdor prisega z njim, bo v tem užival, toda usta teh, ki govorijo laži, bodo zamašena.
