< Psalms 45 >

1 To him that excelleth on Shoshannim a song of love to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah. Mine heart will vtter forth a good matter: I wil intreat in my workes of the King: my tongue is as the pen of a swift writer.
Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Sosanimi, ko e akonaki ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kola, ko e Hiva ki he ngaahi ʻofa. ‌ʻOku mapuna hake ʻi hoku loto ʻae meʻa lelei: te u lea ki he meʻa kuo u ngaohi ki he tuʻi: ko hoku ʻelelo ko e peni ki he tohi vave.
2 Thou art fayrer then the children of men: grace is powred in thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for euer.
‌ʻOku ke fakaʻofoʻofa lahi ʻi he ngaahi fānau ʻae tangata: kuo lilingi ʻae ʻofa ki ho loungutu: ko ia kuo fakamonūʻia ai koe ʻe he ʻOtua ʻo lauikuonga.
3 Gird thy sword vpon thy thigh, O most mightie, to wit, thy worship and thy glory,
‌ʻE Fungani Māfimafi ke ke nonoʻo hoʻo heletā ki ho tuʻatenga, ʻi ho nāunau mo ho mālohi.
4 And prosper with thy glory: ride vpon the worde of trueth and of meekenes and of righteousnes: so thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
Pea ʻi hoʻo māfimafi ke ke hāʻele monūʻia, ko e meʻa ʻi he moʻoni mo e angavaivai mo e māʻoniʻoni; pea ʻe ako kiate koe ʻe ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakailifia.
5 Thine arrowes are sharpe to pearce the heart of the Kings enemies: therefore the people shall fall vnder thee.
‌ʻOku māsila hoʻo ngaahi ngahau ʻi he loto ʻoe ngaahi fili ʻoe tuʻi; ʻoku tō ki lalo ʻae kakai ʻiate koe.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for euer and euer: the scepter of thy kingdome is a scepter of righteousnesse.
‌ʻE ʻOtua, ko ho nofoʻanga ʻoku lauikuonga pea taʻengata: ko e tokotoko ʻo ho puleʻanga ko e tokotoko māʻoniʻoni ia.
7 Thou louest righteousnes, and hatest wickednesse, because God, euen thy God hath anoynted thee with the oyle of gladnes aboue thy fellowes.
‌ʻOku ke ʻofa ki he māʻoniʻoni, pea fehiʻa ki he angahala: ko ia ko e ʻOtua ko ho ʻOtua, kuo ne tākai ʻaki koe ʻae lolo ʻoe fiefia ʻo lahi hake ʻi ho kāinga.
8 All thy garments smelll of myrrhe and aloes, and cassia, when thou commest out of the yuorie palaces, where they haue made thee glad.
‌ʻOku namu mula, mo ʻalosi, mo kāsia, ʻa ho ngaahi kofu kotoa pē, mei he ngaahi fale lei, ʻaia kuo nau fakafiefiaʻi koe.
9 Kings daugthers were among thine honorable wiues: vpon thy right hand did stand the Queene in a vesture of golde of Ophir.
Naʻe ʻi hoʻo kau fefine ongolelei ʻae ngaahi ʻofefine ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi: naʻe tuʻu ʻae tuʻi fefine ʻi ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻi he koula mei Ofeli.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine eare: forget also thine owne people and thy fathers house.
Fakafanongo, ʻE ʻofefine, pea tokanga, ʻo fakatokangaʻi ho telinga; fakangaloʻi foki hoʻo kakai ʻaʻau, mo e fale ʻo hoʻo tamai;
11 So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.
Ko ia ʻe manako lahi ai ʻae tuʻi ki ho hoihoifua: he ko ho ʻEiki ia; pea ke hū kiate ia.
12 And the daughter of Tyrus with the rich of the people shall doe homage before thy face with presents.
Pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae ʻofefine ʻo Taia mo e meʻaʻofa; ko e kau koloaʻia ʻi he kakai te nau kumi lahi ki hoʻo ʻofa.
13 The Kings daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of broydred golde.
Ko e ʻofefine ʻoe tuʻi ʻoku lelei lahi ʻi loto; ko hono ngaahi kofu kuo lalanga ʻaki ʻae koula.
14 She shalbe brought vnto the King in raiment of needle worke: the virgins that follow after her, and her companions shall be brought vnto thee.
‌ʻE ʻomi ia ki he tuʻi ʻi he kofu ʻoku matamatalelei hono tuitui: ko e kau tāupoʻou ko hono kaumeʻa ʻaia ʻoku muimui kiate ia ʻe omi ʻakinautolu kiate koe.
15 With ioy and gladnes shall they be brought, and shall enter into the Kings palace.
‌ʻE omi ʻakinautolu ʻi he fiefia mo e nekeneka: te nau hū ki he fale ʻoe tuʻi.
16 In steade of thy fathers shall thy children be: thou shalt make them princes through all the earth.
‌ʻE fetongi hoʻo ngaahi tamai ʻe hoʻo fānau, ʻaia te ke fakanofo ko e ngaahi ʻeiki ʻi māmani kotoa pē.
17 I will make thy Name to be remembred through all generations: therefore shall the people giue thanks vnto thee world without ende.
Te u fai ke manatuʻi ʻa ho huafa ʻi he toʻutangata kotoa pē: ko ia ʻe fakafetaʻi ʻae kakai kiate koe ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata.
