Psalms 45
1 To him that excelleth on Shoshannim a song of love to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah. Mine heart will vtter forth a good matter: I wil intreat in my workes of the King: my tongue is as the pen of a swift writer.
Dem Vorsänger. Nach [der Singweise] «Lilien». Von den Kindern Korahs. Eine Unterweisung; ein Lied der Liebe. Mein Herz dichtet ein feines Lied; was ich sage, ist für den König bestimmt, meine Zunge ist der Griffel eines fertigen Schreibers.
2 Thou art fayrer then the children of men: grace is powred in thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for euer.
Du bist schöner als die Menschenkinder, Anmut ist über deine Lippen ausgegossen, weil Gott dich auf ewig gesegnet hat!
3 Gird thy sword vpon thy thigh, O most mightie, to wit, thy worship and thy glory,
Gürte dein Schwert an die Seite, du Held, deine Ehre und deine Pracht!
4 And prosper with thy glory: ride vpon the worde of trueth and of meekenes and of righteousnes: so thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
Fahre siegreich einher für die Sache der Wahrheit, der Milde und Gerechtigkeit, und deine Rechte lehre dich wunderbare Dinge!
5 Thine arrowes are sharpe to pearce the heart of the Kings enemies: therefore the people shall fall vnder thee.
Deine Pfeile sind scharf, sie unterwerfen dir die Völker; sie dringen ins Herz der Feinde des Königs.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for euer and euer: the scepter of thy kingdome is a scepter of righteousnesse.
Dein Thron, o Gott, bleibt immer und ewig, das Zepter deines Reiches ist ein gerades Zepter!
7 Thou louest righteousnes, and hatest wickednesse, because God, euen thy God hath anoynted thee with the oyle of gladnes aboue thy fellowes.
Du liebst die Gerechtigkeit und hassest das gottlose Wesen, darum hat dich, o Gott, dein Gott gesalbt mit dem Öl der Freuden mehr als deine Genossen.
8 All thy garments smelll of myrrhe and aloes, and cassia, when thou commest out of the yuorie palaces, where they haue made thee glad.
Nach Myrrhen, Aloe und Kassia riechen deine Kleider; aus elfenbeinernen Palästen erfreut dich Saitenspiel.
9 Kings daugthers were among thine honorable wiues: vpon thy right hand did stand the Queene in a vesture of golde of Ophir.
Königstöchter sind unter deinen Geliebten; die Gemahlin steht zu deiner Rechten in Gold von Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine eare: forget also thine owne people and thy fathers house.
Höre, Tochter, blicke her und neige dein Ohr, vergiß dein Volk und deines Vaters Haus!
11 So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.
Und wird der König Lust haben an deiner Schönheit (denn er ist dein Herr), so huldige ihm.
12 And the daughter of Tyrus with the rich of the people shall doe homage before thy face with presents.
Und die Tochter von Tyrus wird mit Geschenken kommen, die Reichsten des Volkes deine Gunst suchen.
13 The Kings daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of broydred golde.
Ganz herrlich ist die Königstochter drinnen, von gewirktem Gold ist ihr Gewand.
14 She shalbe brought vnto the King in raiment of needle worke: the virgins that follow after her, and her companions shall be brought vnto thee.
In gestickten Kleidern wird sie dem König zugeführt; die Jungfrauen, die sie begleiten, ihre Gespielinnen, werden zu dir gebracht.
15 With ioy and gladnes shall they be brought, and shall enter into the Kings palace.
Man führt sie mit Freuden und Frohlocken, und sie gehen ein in des Königs Palast.
16 In steade of thy fathers shall thy children be: thou shalt make them princes through all the earth.
An deiner Väter Statt werden deine Söhne treten, du wirst sie zu Fürsten setzen im ganzen Land.
17 I will make thy Name to be remembred through all generations: therefore shall the people giue thanks vnto thee world without ende.
Ich will deinen Namen erwähnen für und für; darum werden dich die Völker preisen immer und ewiglich.
