Psalms 45
1 To him that excelleth on Shoshannim a song of love to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah. Mine heart will vtter forth a good matter: I wil intreat in my workes of the King: my tongue is as the pen of a swift writer.
Maskil des enfants de Coré, [qui est] un Cantique nuptial, [donné] au maitre chantre, [pour le chanter] sur Sosannim. Mon cœur médite un excellent discours, [et] j'ai dit: mes ouvrages seront pour le Roi; ma langue sera la plume d'un écrivain diligent.
2 Thou art fayrer then the children of men: grace is powred in thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for euer.
Tu es plus beau qu'aucun des fils des hommes; la grâce est répandue sur tes lèvres, parce que Dieu t'a béni éternellement.
3 Gird thy sword vpon thy thigh, O most mightie, to wit, thy worship and thy glory,
Ô Très-puissant, ceins ton épée sur ta cuisse, ta majesté et ta magnificence.
4 And prosper with thy glory: ride vpon the worde of trueth and of meekenes and of righteousnes: so thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
Et prospère en ta magnificence; sois porté sur la parole de vérité, de débonnaireté, et de justice; et ta droite t'enseignera des choses terribles.
5 Thine arrowes are sharpe to pearce the heart of the Kings enemies: therefore the people shall fall vnder thee.
Tes flèches sont aiguës, les peuples tomberont sous toi; [elles entreront] dans le cœur des ennemis du Roi.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for euer and euer: the scepter of thy kingdome is a scepter of righteousnesse.
Ton trône, ô Dieu! est à toujours et à perpétuité; le sceptre de ton règne est un sceptre d'équité.
7 Thou louest righteousnes, and hatest wickednesse, because God, euen thy God hath anoynted thee with the oyle of gladnes aboue thy fellowes.
Tu aimes la justice, et tu hais la méchanceté; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu! ton Dieu t'a oint d'une huile de joie par-dessus tes compagnons.
8 All thy garments smelll of myrrhe and aloes, and cassia, when thou commest out of the yuorie palaces, where they haue made thee glad.
Ce n'est que myrrhe, aloès et casse de tous tes vêtements, [quand tu sors] des palais d'ivoire, dont ils t'ont réjoui.
9 Kings daugthers were among thine honorable wiues: vpon thy right hand did stand the Queene in a vesture of golde of Ophir.
Des filles de Rois sont entre tes dames d'honneur; ta femme est à ta droite, parée d'or d'Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine eare: forget also thine owne people and thy fathers house.
Ecoute fille, et considère; rends-toi attentive, oublie ton peuple, et la maison de ton père.
11 So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.
Et le Roi mettra son affection en ta beauté; puisqu'il est ton Seigneur, prosterne-toi devant lui.
12 And the daughter of Tyrus with the rich of the people shall doe homage before thy face with presents.
Et la fille de Tyr, [et] les plus riches des peuples te supplieront avec des présents.
13 The Kings daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of broydred golde.
La fille du Roi est intérieurement toute pleine de gloire; son vêtement est semé d'enchâssures d'or.
14 She shalbe brought vnto the King in raiment of needle worke: the virgins that follow after her, and her companions shall be brought vnto thee.
Elle sera présentée au Roi en vêtements de broderie; et les filles qui viennent après elle, et qui sont ses compagnes, seront amenées vers toi.
15 With ioy and gladnes shall they be brought, and shall enter into the Kings palace.
Elles te seront présentées avec réjouissance et allégresse, [et] elles entreront au palais du Roi.
16 In steade of thy fathers shall thy children be: thou shalt make them princes through all the earth.
Tes enfants seront au lieu de tes pères; tu les établiras pour Princes par toute la terre.
17 I will make thy Name to be remembred through all generations: therefore shall the people giue thanks vnto thee world without ende.
Je rendrai ton Nom mémorable dans tous les âges, et à cause de cela les peuples te célébreront à toujours et à perpétuité.
