Psalms 16
1 Michtam of Dauid. Preserue mee, O God: for in thee doe I trust.
Um poema de David. Preserve-me, Deus, pois eu me refugio em você.
2 O my soule, thou hast sayd vnto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my weldoing extendeth not to thee,
Minha alma, você disse a Javé: “Você é meu Senhor”. Além de você eu não tenho nada de bom”.
3 But to the Saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent: all my delite is in them.
Quanto aos santos que estão na terra, eles são os excelentes em quem todo meu prazer é.
4 The sorowes of them, that offer to an other god, shall be multiplied: their offerings of blood will I not offer, neither make mention of their names with my lips.
Suas mágoas serão multiplicadas quem der presentes a outro deus. Suas ofertas de bebida de sangue eu não oferecerei, nem tomar seus nomes em meus lábios.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou shalt mainteine my lot.
Yahweh designou minha parte e minha xícara. Você tornou meu lote seguro.
6 The lines are fallen vnto me in pleasant places: yea, I haue a faire heritage.
As linhas caíram para mim em lugares agradáveis. Sim, eu tenho uma boa herança.
7 I wil prayse the Lord, who hath giuen me counsell: my reines also teach me in the nightes.
Eu abençoarei Yahweh, que me aconselhou. Sim, meu coração me instrui nas estações noturnas.
8 I haue set the Lord alwayes before me: for hee is at my right hand: therefore I shall not slide.
Eu coloquei Yahweh sempre diante de mim. Como ele está à minha direita, não serei movido.
9 Wherefore mine heart is glad and my tongue reioyceth: my flesh also doeth rest in hope.
Portanto, meu coração se alegra e minha língua se regozija. Meu corpo também deve morar em segurança.
10 For thou wilt not leaue my soule in the graue: neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
Pois você não vai deixar minha alma no Sheol, nem permitirá que seu santo veja a corrupção. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is the fulnesse of ioy: and at thy right hand there are pleasures for euermore.
Você me mostrará o caminho da vida. Em sua presença está a plenitude da alegria. Em sua mão direita há sempre mais prazeres.
