Psalms 140
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. Deliuer me, O Lord, from the euill man: preserue me from the cruel man:
பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவே, தீய மனிதரிடமிருந்து என்னைத் தப்புவியும்; வன்முறையாளர்களிடமிருந்து என்னைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
2 Which imagine euill things in their heart, and make warre continually.
அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் பொல்லாத திட்டங்களைத் தீட்டி, நாள்தோறும் போரை மூட்டிவிடுகிறார்கள்.
3 They haue sharpened their tongues like a serpent: adders poyson is vnder their lips. (Selah)
அவர்கள் தங்கள் நாவுகளைப் பாம்பின் நாவுகளைப் போலக் கூர்மையாக்குகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உதடுகளில் விரியன் பாம்பின் விஷம் இருக்கிறது.
4 Keepe mee, O Lord, from the handes of the wicked: preserue mee from the cruell man, which purposeth to cause my steppes to slide.
யெகோவாவே, கொடியவர்களுடைய கைகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கி, வன்முறையாளர்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்; அவர்கள் என் நடைகளைக் கவிழ்க்கப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.
5 The proude haue layde a snare for me, and spred a nette with cordes in my pathway, and set grennes for me. (Selah)
பெருமையுள்ள மனிதர்கள் எனக்குக் கண்ணியை மறைத்து வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் வலைகளின் கயிறுகளை விரித்து, என் வழியெல்லாம் எனக்காகக் பொறிகளை வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
6 Therefore I saide vnto the Lord, Thou art my God: heare, O Lord, the voyce of my prayers.
யெகோவாவே, “நீரே என் இறைவன்” என்று நான் உம்மிடம் சொல்கிறேன்; யெகோவாவே, இரக்கத்திற்கான என் கதறுதலைக் கேளும்.
7 O Lord God the strength of my saluation, thou hast couered mine head in the day of battel.
ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, என் இரட்சிப்பின் பெலனே, நீர் யுத்தநாளில் என் தலையை மறைத்துகொள்ளும்.
8 Let not the wicked haue his desire, O Lord: performe not his wicked thought, least they be proude. (Selah)
யெகோவாவே, கொடியவர்களின் ஆசைகள் நிறைவேற விடாதேயும்; அவர்களுடைய திட்டங்களை வெற்றியடைய விடாதேயும்.
9 As for the chiefe of them, that compasse me about, let the mischiefe of their owne lippes come vpon them.
என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துள்ளவர்கள் பெருமையுடன் தங்கள் தலையை உயர்த்துகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உதடுகளின் தீவினைகள் அவர்களை மூடும்.
10 Let coles fal vpon them: let him cast them into the fire, and into the deepe pits, that they rise not.
எரியும் நெருப்புத் தழல்கள் அவர்கள்மேல் விழட்டும்; அவர்கள் ஒருபோதும் எழுந்திருக்க முடியாதபடி நெருப்பிலும், சேற்றுக் குழிகளிலும் தள்ளப்படட்டும்.
11 For the backbiter shall not be established vpon the earth: euill shall hunt the cruell man to destruction.
அவதூறு பேசுகிறவர்கள் நாட்டில் நிலைபெறாதிருக்கட்டும்; வன்முறையாளர்களை பேராபத்து வேட்டையாடி வீழ்த்தட்டும்.
12 I know that the Lord will auenge the afflicted, and iudge the poore.
யெகோவா ஏழைகளுக்கு நீதியைப் பெற்றுக்கொடுக்கிறவர் என்பதையும், எளியவர்களின் சார்பாக வழக்காடுபவர் என்பதையும் நான் அறிவேன்.
13 Surely the righteous shall prayse thy Name, and the iust shall dwell in thy presence.
நிச்சயமாகவே, நீதிமான்கள் உமது பெயரைத் துதிப்பார்கள்; நேர்மையுள்ளவர்கள் உமது சமுகத்தில் வாழ்வடைவார்கள்.
