Psalms 112

1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.

主をほめたたえよ。主をおそれて、そのもろもろの戒めを大いに喜ぶ人はさいわいである。

2 His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

その子孫は地において強くなり、正しい者のやからは祝福を得る。

3 Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.

繁栄と富とはその家にあり、その義はとこしえに、うせることはない。

4 Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.

光は正しい者のために暗黒の中にもあらわれる。主は恵み深く、あわれみに満ち、正しくいらせられる。

5 A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.

恵みを施し、貸すことをなし、その事を正しく行う人はさいわいである。

6 Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

正しい人は決して動かされることなく、とこしえに覚えられる。

7 He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.

彼は悪いおとずれを恐れず、その心は主に信頼してゆるがない。

8 His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.

その心は落ち着いて恐れることなく、ついにそのあだについての願いを見る。

9 He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.

彼は惜しげなく施し、貧しい者に与えた。その義はとこしえに、うせることはない。その角は誉を得てあげられる。

10 The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

悪しき者はこれを見て怒り、歯をかみならして溶け去る。悪しき者の願いは滅びる。
