Psalms 101

1 A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

Salmo de Davi: Cantarei sobre a bondade e o juízo; a ti, SENHOR, tocarei melodia.

2 I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

No caminho correto eu meditarei; [mas] quando virás a mim? Em sinceridade de meu coração andarei dentro de minha casa.

3 I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.

Não porei perante meus olhos obra maligna; odeio as ações dos que desviam, [tais coisas] não me tomarão.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.

O coração perverso se afastará de mim; não conhecerei ao mau.

5 Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.

Destruirei ao que fala mal de seu próximo as escondidas, e não tolerarei ao que tem olhos cobiçosos e coração arrogante.

6 Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.

Meus olhos [estarão] sobre os fiéis da terra, para que se sentem comigo; aquele que anda no caminho correto, esse me servirá.

7 There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.

Aquele que usa de engano não habitará em minha casa; aquele que fala mentiras não conseguirá ficar firme perante meus olhos.

8 Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.

Pelas madrugadas destruirei a todos os perversos da terra, para tirar da cidade do SENHOR todos os que praticam maldade.
