Proverbs 16
1 The preparations of the heart are in man: but the answere of the tongue is of the Lord.
೧ಹೃದಯದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಶವು, ತಕ್ಕ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಾಗುವುದು.
2 All the wayes of a man are cleane in his owne eyes: but the Lord pondereth the spirits.
೨ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಡತೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಂತರಂಗವನ್ನೇ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
3 Commit thy workes vnto the Lord, and thy thoughts shalbe directed.
೩ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಭಾರವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಹಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವವು.
4 The Lord hath made all things for his owne sake: yea, euen the wicked for the day of euill.
೪ಯೆಹೋವನು ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕ ಗುರಿಯಿಂದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಹೌದು, ಕೇಡಿನ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೆಡುಕರನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
5 All that are proude in heart, are an abomination to the Lord: though hand ioyne in hand, he shall not be vnpunished.
೫ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಂಡನೆ ಖಂಡಿತ.
6 By mercy and trueth iniquitie shalbe forgiuen, and by the feare of the Lord they depart from euill.
೬ಕೃಪಾಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪನಿವಾರಣೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾನಿನಿವಾರಣೆ.
7 When the wayes of a man please the Lord, he will make also his enemies at peace with him.
೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ಒಬ್ಬನ ನಡತೆಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದರೆ, ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.
8 Better is a litle with righteousnesse, then great reuenues without equitie.
೮ಅನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಬಹು ಧನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ ಅಲ್ಪ ಧನವೇ ಲೇಸು.
9 The heart of man purposeth his way: but the Lord doeth direct his steppes.
೯ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನದಂತೆ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುವನು.
10 A diuine sentence shalbe in the lips of the King: his mouth shall not transgresse in iudgement.
೧೦ರಾಜನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗದು.
11 A true weight and balance are of the Lord: all the weightes of the bagge are his worke.
೧೧ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಅಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಕ್ಕಡಿಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಏರ್ಪಾಡು, ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿನ ತೂಕದಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ.
12 It is an abomination to Kings to commit wickednes: for the throne is stablished by iustice.
೧೨ರಾಜರು ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಧರ್ಮವೇ ಆಧಾರವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು, ಅಧರ್ಮವನ್ನಾಚರಿಸಲು ಅಸಹ್ಯಪಡುವರು.
13 Righteous lips are the delite of Kings, and the King loueth him that speaketh right things.
೧೩ರಾಜರು ಸತ್ಯದ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವರು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವರು.
14 The wrath of a King is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacifie it.
೧೪ರಾಜನ ಕೋಪ ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ದೂತ, ಜಾಣನು ಅದನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸುವನು.
15 In the light of the Kings coutenance is life: and his fauour is as a cloude of the latter raine.
೧೫ಪ್ರಭುವಿನ ಮುಖಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆ ಜೀವ, ಆತನ ದಯೆ ಮುಂಗಾರುಮುಗಿಲು.
16 Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.
೧೬ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮೇಲು, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದು ಲೇಸು.
17 The pathe of the righteous is to decline from euil, and hee keepeth his soule, that keepeth his way.
೧೭ಸತ್ಯವಂತನ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ ಹಾನಿಗೆ ದೂರ, ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವನು.
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an high minde before the fall.
೧೮ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಭಂಗ, ಉಬ್ಬಿನಿಂದ ದೊಬ್ಬು.
19 Better it is to be of humble minde with the lowly, then to deuide the spoyles with the proude.
೧೯ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೂರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ದೀನರ ಸಂಗಡ ದೈನ್ಯದಿಂದಿರುವುದು ವಾಸಿ.
20 He that is wise in his busines, shall finde good: and he that trusteth in the Lord, he is blessed.
೨೦ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವವನು ಸುಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು, ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವವನು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನು.
21 The wise in heart shall bee called prudent: and the sweetenesse of the lippes shall increase doctrine.
೨೧ಜ್ಞಾನಹೃದಯರಿಗೆ ಜಾಣರೆಂಬ ಬಿರುದು ಬರುವುದು, ಸವಿತುಟಿಯಿಂದ ಉಪದೇಶ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವುದು.
22 Vnderstading is welspring of life vnto them that haue it: and the instruction of fooles is folly.
೨೨ವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವೇ ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ಮೂರ್ಖನಿಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವೇ ದಂಡನೆ.
23 The heart of the wise guideth his mouth wisely, and addeth doctrine to his lippes.
೨೩ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಜಾಣತನವನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು.
24 Faire wordes are as an hony combe, sweetenesse to the soule, and health to the bones.
೨೪ಸವಿನುಡಿಯು ಜೇನುಕೊಡ, ಅದು ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಹಿ, ಎಲುಬಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮ.
25 There is a way that seemeth right vnto man: but the issue thereof are the wayes of death.
೨೫ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ತೋರುವ ಒಂದು ದಾರಿಯುಂಟು, ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ಅದು ಮರಣಮಾರ್ಗವೇ.
26 The person that traueileth, traueileth for himselfe: for his mouth craueth it of him.
೨೬ದುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೇ ದುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ದುಡಿಯಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು.
27 A wicked man diggeth vp euill, and in his lippes is like burning fire.
೨೭ನೀಚನು ಕೇಡೆಂಬ ಕುಣಿಯನ್ನು ತೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಉರಿಯಂತಿದೆ.
28 A frowarde person soweth strife: and a tale teller maketh diuision among princes.
೨೮ತುಂಟನು ಜಗಳ ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
29 A wicked man deceiueth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
೨೯ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯು ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುವನು.
30 He shutteth his eyes to deuise wickednes: he moueth his lippes, and bringeth euil to passe.
೩೦ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವನು, ತುಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಚ್ಚುವವನು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವನು.
31 Age is a crowne of glory, when it is founde in the way of righteousnes.
೩೧ನರೆಗೂದಲೇ ಸುಂದರ ಕಿರೀಟವು, ಅದು ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕುವುದು.
32 He that is slowe vnto anger, is better then the mightie man: and hee that ruleth his owne minde, is better then he that winneth a citie.
೩೨ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನು ಶೂರನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಳುವವನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ.
33 The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposition thereof is of the Lord.
೩೩ಮಡಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಬಹುದು, ಅದರ ತೀರ್ಪು ಯೆಹೋವನದೇ.
